I don't, but it would be nice to be invited to a Hanukkah celebration or dinner.

I had a friend who was Jewish and I always asked a million questions. She didn't approve of me, being Catholic and all. her son shouldn't be fond a of non-Jewish girl. but the dinners were just beautiful to me.

I love Chanukah! :D

My grandmother was Jewish (although I didn't know it until after she'd died.) .

But this year my family and I are going to a Chanukah parade in the city that starts with the lighting of the public menorah and then leads to the synagogue where there will be latkes and a music and dancing and such. C:

Dx! The Jewish people I know/knew were kind and didn't mind me being Baptist. I asked a few questions and they answered them. I just never got invited to a Hanukkah Celebration. Dx!

I use to watch a lot of the PBS kid friendly specials about Hanukkah. I did mention I use to live in a semi-Jewish neighborhood. Over the years, the population changed a little. I remember the kind old Jewish ladies that I use to say hi to while walking home from the grocery store with my great aunt.

Ava said, "Blesséd is the Lord, Our G-d" in Hebrew.
It's typical to bless the menorah before/while lighting it.

I don't celebrate anything.
But when someone tells me Merry Christmas, I answer with "I'm Jewish". And a dead stare.

but you don't celebrate anything? and I like to say happy holidays cause i never know what people celebrate. I usually say merry Christmas if its obvious that they celebrate it, or if I'm auto piloting like i did often when I was working as a cashier. xD

My parents make a big deal out of saying, "Merry Christmas" AND "Happy Holidays" but really, they like saying, "Merry Christmas" the best. They feel like people are too easily offended and they don't care if they piss people off by saying "Merry Christmas".

I love my parents, but I feel like they can be kind of assholes sometimes.

I think people should just say whatever they celebrate.

For example, if I say Merry Christmas to my Jewish friend, he wishes me Happy Hanukkah.
