Apparently many lizards including crocs are meant to have colour vision, some snakes may be colour blind but they detect infra red.
Also crocs eyes foam sometimes when they eat! Have a film that covers their eyes when they swim, and crocs have salt glands so can stand salty water were alligators prefer salt water, wonder if that helps with her, going to find out about alligators for ya too!

~LONGCAT~: I should have said this before, but I kind of prefer players not to use social skills on other PCs without their players' permission, just to keep power-gaming down. I'm not complaining, and Chexala's character will probably feel intimidated anyway, because big scaly thing, but this is kind of a heads-up for everyone for future. I don't think you guys would do it, but I've seen someone almost driven from a group because another player abused that kind of thing, so it's a pet peeve of mine.

I attempted some magic in my last post but I'm not sure if I am aiming high or low, or if I need to add any modifiers. I went with a default d20, since I didn't see anything in the rules saying how to roll for magic. Hope that was alright! :D

And duly noted about social checks against other players.

Howdy, yer roled to create snares, but accidentally thought I needed to add four as my agility is 18 which is 4x2 above ten, but remembered that is only for AC isn't it? So my roll is still 14 that's against my agi of 18 isn't it? I can't think of any modifiers, apart from the snare is made from strong materials?

Yeah, it's just straight up vs. your agi. The strong materials will be taken into account when something is trying to escape from the snares! Are you planning on concealing them, or leaving them obvious? I need to know in case I need to have your teammates make rolls not to get snared. [:p]

Ah yes good point, Aneja would conceal them, but the party are there with her to see them being placed, but it could be a risk they accidentally set them off at some point, especially in the dark. Maybe you could roll once for everyone. And any rolls higher than their agility will mean that they will set off a snare or at least the risk of setting one off, minus any attributes anyone has such as improved vision or any spells they have active?

But you da DM all seeing, all knowing and all powerful! Lol...

I might make a few rolls... did they remember where they were, do they spot them, do they trigger them... it also will depend on how much they walk around at night. I'm assuming the snares will be geared toward animals and not large enough to hurt a human-sized creature, of course.

You'll be a lot more likely to spot them with low light vision! It may be that nothing comes of the snares, I'm just establishing that something could come of them, depending how my secret rolls go!

Lol secret crusty rolls. Well snares are just that I guess, not going to hurt anything unless it struggles. But they won't do anything major to a human, apart from annoyance, but will still tie them up for a while, Aneja isn't going to make dead falls or pit traps, too much hard work and heavy lifting lol

So... I know we have a few modly-type people involved in this game... and with the event coming up soon, I'm wondering if we should slow down the game a notch during that event? Make it 4 days before the next turn, instead of 3. I don't want our awesome mods feeling over-worked, but I also want to keep this game going, because I'm really enjoying it. Does anyone have thoughts or opinions?

I think I should be fine with four day thing. even a three day thing would work too. the days and week after the event will actually be more busy for me. I can make time for at least one post during each round though.
