"Okay." Robin shrugged. "But Rose existed, and clearly you knew that necklace, so that part of it is true, at least."

"She must have made the necklace later," Ish said, shaking his head a bit. "I remember the feathers."

"Alright, whatever," Robin said, flapping a hand. "Maybe the kid is just trying to return it. I mean, she didn't say anything, she just said that she was Rose's daughter, maybe from a later marriage or something."

"Maybe," Ish said vaguely, turning over the possibilities in his mind. There was one in particular he was resolutely not going to consider at the moment, regardless of the feather Robin had found outside the door.

Robin was also considering possibilities, although he wasn't willing to even touch one yet. Instead he stood, pulling Ish with him.

"Weren't you about to do something with food?" He grinned.

"I believe I was," Ish replied, grateful for the distraction. "And I believe you were in the middle of some rather lecherous comments."

"When am I not?" Robin asked, grinning. He was just fine with going back to said lecherous comments.

Ish snorted softly and went back into the kitchen to start cooking.

The next day, Maggie had gone back to the bar, trying to talk to Ish again. They needed to hash things out, after all.

Fortunately, Ish was there when she arrived at the bar, rather than one of the other peri. Danyeal had told Ishiah what had happened the night before, so Ish was pretty much expecting Maggie to show up again. It was practically a given.

Maggie didn't make any immediate demands, instead sitting at the bar with Dani.

"Want anything to drink?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I'm good," Dani said, shaking her head. "Drinks and I don't mix well." That was how things like waking up in the middle of an orgy happened, and she didn't want a repeat of that in an unfamiliar city.

Maggie nodded and got waters for them instead, watching Ishiah for a few moments.

Robin managed to break the tension by grinning and waggling his eyebrows at Dani.

"Well, hello, sweet thing. I haven't seen a siren in a long time, not even a part-siren."

"Apparently we're few and far-between, these days," Dani replied, grinning a bit. "Not that I've come across a puck before, myself."

Ishiah just rolled his eyes a bit. Robin was a habitual flirt, that was never going to change, and Ish knew it.

"Well, all the better for you, since I am the best puck there is." Robin grinned. "Robin Goodfellow." He held out a hand.

Maggie snorted at him and rolled her eyes, turning away from him for the moment. Instead she kept her attention on the peri behind the bar.

"Danielle Craig," Dani replied, shaking his hand with a grin. "Call me Dani."

Ishiah studied her as well. He could definitely see Rose in her, at the very least.

"Hands above the bar, puck," Maggie said, not even looking over at the two.

"I'm not doing anything," Robin said in his best "I'm completely harmless" voice. He grinned.

"Pucks are never not doing anything," Maggie said dryly. Almost absently, she picked off one of her feathers that she'd missed earlier from her shoulder.

Dani reached over and grabbed the fluffy little feather, stashing it in her pocket. She was trying to collect enough for a pillow, and it was slow going.

Ishiah noticed the feather, and his eyes widened just fractionally. The evidence was stacking up, and he wouldn't be able to ignore it soon, as valiant as his effort was.

Robin grinned at that and patted Dani's shoulder. "Good luck with that endeavor," he told her.

Maggie's eyes narrowed. "Do not touch her," she said, her voice chilly.

Robin blinked at her. "Relax, it's fine," he said.

Maggie growled a little and smote him. Not a lot because she couldn't do too much, and also because it was meant as a warning.

Dami blinked at the minor smiting.

"Honestly, Mags, relax. I can handle myself," she said.

The smiting was all Ishiah needed to see.

"Who exactly are you?" he asked Maggie. "The truth."

"I know you can, but he's annoying," Maggie said to Dani. She ignored Robin's pout and looked at Ishiah.

"I told you, Rose was my mother. She told me that a man named Ishiah was the one responsible."

Robin stopped at that and went very still.

Ishiah went still as well. His gut reaction was to claim it wasn't possible, but he knew that there was at least a slight chance that it was. And, obviously, the result was standing in front of him.

"I think you broke them," Dani murmured to Maggie, glancing at the puck and the peri. "We may need to give them a chance to make peace with the news."

"I expected as much," Maggie said. She briefly made a face, and then plucked one of her feathers out of the air, setting it in front of Ishiah. "That one's mine," she said. "Your markings, though. Guess I got that." She stood and looked at Dani.

"Shall we go find something else to do for a while?"

"Sure, let's go explore for a while," Dani said, bouncing up out of her seat.

Ishiah just picked up the feather from the table and examined it. It was similar to one of his, definitely, but not exactly the same. It was different enough that he would never have mistaken it for one of his own, but anyone else might have trouble making the distinction.

Maggie grinned and let her pick where they went, just walking along after her.

"Ish?" Robin looked at him. He couldn't see a difference in the feather from one of Ish's, but then he wasn't an expert.
