I don't think it's particularly suggestive, it's more cute than suggestive. XD But you put anything next to a character's mouth and people will read into it. XD

It also helps to have a darker pencil. XD If you use a light pencil your scans look like this - and that's after adjusting the Levels! D:

I just use a HB pencil, and I sketch very lightly. I add darker lines later. The scanner settings play a role in how the lines will look as well.

XD That scan was done with a Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100 H... which probably doesn't mean much to someone who doesn't own one, but they're the blue art pencils with no erasers for people who might recognize them on sight. XD
