Go on, Goblin Maiden. I've technically failed the challenge for the last two years but I see anything that gives me more motivation to read as a success.

So far at 16 books, which ties my 2011 score. Will be beating it shortly! ^_^

50 States, 50 Books. Some more awesome than others, but I think I might read (and reread some of) these for the challenge. I never read enough fiction and this is enough of a hook to keep me going...

Reading isn't something I seem to have time for anymore. D: I got 22 books - roughly - read... that counts for something, right? Darned school. T_T

So the end of the year is coming up really quickly now! D.J. Dead just let me know that they finished the challenge - Has anyone else won it too?

I am going to try again :D but I don't know how much I will get through with college classes picking up but I will do my best!!

I haven't been able to read for pleasure at all since the semester started. Luckily, my lit class has seen me complete a few books. I'm not going to complete the challenge though, sadly. I'd like to finish The Grapes of Wrath, which we began in my lit class, but did not finish, as well as The Great Gatsby, which I just barely started before the semester started. My semester ends next week, so I'll have more time for reading then, and can maybe finish both of those books before the year's end. I also bought a Death Note volume, which I could complete in a few hours. But that will only be 19 books... a far cry from the 27 I hoped for.

I haven't been logging my reads! Agh! Gomenasai!

Sadly I didn't get anywhere close to my goal, due to school being insane this term... D: Darn!

If I finish the two library books I have out at the moment before the end of the year I'll hit 25 and that's more than I was expecting when I went to update my list.

Finally updated my list and realized that I've read 51 books this year! Hooray, it's lovely to meet my goal and still have a couple weeks of reading left.

I'm definitely not going to make my goal of 35 this year. I might be able to squeeze in one or two more books before New Years and get up to 20-ish, which isn't too bad. This hasn't been my best reading year, but it wasn't a total bust either.

Now, if I'd had a challenge for television watching, I would be winning everything.
