But my question to everyone on Menewsha is, how do you spend your gold?
Do you save up like crazy and then buy all the clothes you want? Or do you buy an item or two at a time, as soon as you get the gold?

I'm having trouble deciding what I should do. I've recently been saving like mad, but I'm so impatient, I get frustrated. lol.

I thought we could share our techniques. :3

Well I tend to quest for impossible to get items, so I'm always saving.. but usually by the time I get close to my goal and event comes and I spend all my money ^.^' I love event items...

I'm currently saving up for a huge amount of items (like 38,000 gold worth) I like to buy in bulk, but after a while of my avatar always wearing the same thing I splurged for some new pieces off of the list. Considering I only have one outfit for my avatar to wear right now so I really should buy some more but I'm only 8000ish gold from my goal :x

I usually sell my stuff to the sell back store, the marketplace thread scares me XD

If I see something I want I have to buy it. I am bad at saving for the most part. I tend to keep items rather than sell them unless I am working on a dream avatar then I sell items back to the stores and try to get the rest of the gold I need. If I am not questing anything I just let the gold sit there and build up.

I usually save up and spend it all at once. Especially now that I'm going after some big stuff.

I usually save up my gold to buy in bulk during events or sometimes buy rares in the marketplace if I feel like I ought to start working on my stock. xD

I spend a few hundred gold a month, maybe, buying pieces for my avatar, just so I feel like I'm not denying myself entirely (and so I can pick up pieces of non-event commons updates).

Whenever I don't want my commons, I either donate them to charities or use the sellback store. xD I can't be fussed using my Exchange thread for commons.

I rarely buy anything unless I see it and fall in love so I get my max gold a day when I feel like it then when I make a new avatar, I have enough.

Right now I don't really spend on anything. I'm saving for some high ticket priced rares as part of my quest. I often only get commons when it's an event that has tickets where if you save them you can get them for free. though sometimes I'll splurge on a small item if I think it helps with the flow of and avatar, but I don't go over what I made that day in games/chatting.

Well, I like saving up until I have all the gold I need and then some before buying all the items for the avatar I'm questing, and then I keep the avatar for around a month and haunt the art shops. Most of my gold has gone toward art. When I'm in avatar slumps, I ask people to draw my characters. Recently I've been spending it on getting all the CIs I've wanted for a while. Of course, this changes whenever an event is lingering nearby.

My gold usually goes towards buying rares or to my charity.
Once I'm no longer questing rares my gold will go towards commons.

I usually save up my gold for the next month's contribution items and past ones. I also try to save up for past event items. I hardly ever spend my gold on commons.

I like to save up for specific outfits or rares. During events I don't spend a whole lot of gold on commons, since I figure that's what event currency is for :lol:

You seem to be doing quite well from the looks of it. One thing I kind of don't agree about this site is the fact that not only you know how much gold you have but so does everyone else; however since you can't really beg and they have a good moderator staff, I guess it doesn't really matter. It's kind of funny actually. I have been saving for quite awhile myself too.

In theory, I save up my gold for the more expensive EI/CI's that I'm after.

But in reality, I end up spending about half of what I have on me during events for the reduced-price event commons. It's about the only time I buy commons these days, except for the rare occasion I can justify the gold expense for some item that would 'make' an avatar combo I've thought up.

That's why I try to shunt 500g over to my mule whenever I can, during those times I'm not saving up for an event or something.

So, I guess I spend it on Event commons, and then occasionally on CI's that I've missed.

At the moment I'm finding clothes I like and buying them as soon as I get the gold. It's mainly because I don't want to remain naked while I save up for something big. I've noticed on avatar sites like this you are less likely to be taken seriously when you are still in your starter underwear.

Hopefully I'll get some clothes in the next few days so I can start saving up for something good.

All jokes aside, I tend to save up a couple hundred and buy one thing. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I buy clothes as soon as I have gold. ^^ Now I try to buy the things I like and after that, hm, I guess I'll find new ones I like. xD But I'll try to have at least 200gold left!

I pretty much buy items once I get the required gold. I'm afraid I'm not very good at saving up for very long, especially on a site like this where there are so many things to buy. :) I do tend to buy CI's and EI's over commons, though. My reasoning for that is that I want to get as many items as I can before the inflate. Common items will always be there, rare items may not.

I'm a cheap-scape, don't really spend, but then again I hardly ever buy.
