Depending on how the storyline goes, Greed may be with us for awhile.

Part of that is up to you guys.

@CK: Yes, you're right! That was me being lysdexic. :oops:
Thankies for giving us an update! I've been hoping that the bar would go back up again, but I think it will take awhile. Not giving up, however.
Are donations and spending at least at an even pace, right now?

:hug: You are good to give us peptalks. We Channah-folk need it today.

And I confess, I'm just looking for reasons to poke fun at Greed. I have a feeling he'll make Menewshan events very interesting. ^.^

@Thothy: I'm doing really well, actually! No school, so I'm literally less capable of panicking at the moment. That makes everything happy, gives me time to run, read, and Mene-ify...

How are you? Good New Year's plans?

@ Aislin ::

He does what?
o.o ~?!

@ Apocrypha ::

I'd be kind of funny if he DID have an account on Mene, like all the other NPCs.
The spirit of greed will forever linger.

@ Butter: He does so very much need a mommy and daddy. And a really, really stern Grandpa, too.

Can I add, "Because Greed needs a mama, a papa, and a big 'ole spanking." to the motto list?

::nods:: I've been trying to drop by various threads and encourage people not to give up once I saw how the bar was dropping again. XD;

I fully admit that for the first two or three days of the event I was spending all the yarn I got. But once I had everything I wanted from the store, I started donating.

There are still a few items I want for my mule account and I don't want to spend gold on him (I never do). So after I make up for the yarn I've spent on myself via donating, if I want to buy for my mule, I'll do so under the half principle. ;3

Eh, he'd never get a date. :cool:

@CK: Yay! I'm glad you like the idea. Youse good people.

May I ask which items you'd like for your mule?

Go right ahead!
And that's so mean!
Maybe there's some other bad female spirit that would LOVE to have him....or couldn't get anyone else herself.

@ CK ::

Yay for using the Half Principle.
Maybe if the majority of people used it, others wouldn't have to work so hard to try and pick up the slack.

The bar has been stuck there for awhile. LOL. I've been trying to donate and make it move. :V ::pokes it::

Greed's just a kid, anyway... I don't think he'd be interested in dating. XD

I'm thinking of getting my mule the black, purple and blue lord coats. I'm online often enough that I could easily get them with yarn - even following the half principle - by the end of the event. XD I just have to open up a second browser. Been a bit too busy to do that, but the rest of the event shouldn't be as busy as the first few days. XD

Saw your sig while reading the 50BC and clicked on in. This is a really good idea, I've donated every single yarn my Mule has, I'll probley do what I have too cause I'll probably won't buy anything in the event store anyways.

@ Stormy: Yay! I'm glad you like the concept.
Hee-- I do love the 50BC thread. What are you reading right now?
I wish I were as far along as you. I'm still muddling around at the 16 mark.

@ Alexandrus: Because people don't like greed as a concept. Now if it were just "the evil guy" vs. "the good guy" and EvilDood were actually a team, which you had to do actual work to support, that'd be all nice and fun.
In this instance, though, you actually take away from whatever team you're on when you spend. That's just not as nifty. To support greed, you prioritize yourself against other people's goals. And even if you're not on a team, you still take away from the completion of the scarf by spending yarn in the shops.

That's mah 2 cents of explanation.
Plus it's winter-- Mene needs scarfage. :yes:

You're welcome to hang around and chat, though! You may find that the Half Principle grows on you. :P

(Oooh, I've another reason: it's because people really like to see meters completed. We all feel like we've failed when the meter doesn't fill up. It's a subconscious need.)

Still, It's about who can build the biggest snowman, right? And not who can build the prettiest snowman. So as long as we build a big enough snowman, Mayor will still win even if it doesn't have a scarf!

edit: Also, wouldn't it have made more sense to just buy premade scarves from the event store and just ask Channah to sew them together? I mean... Logically speaking, that would take much less work and make scarf completion easier. XP.

Though, I imagine that would be a nightmare to code.

It's true that the biggest snowman can still be built.

But there is a decoration component to the contest. Channah's not knitting the scarf for no particular reason. :) It's part of the contest.

Nope, s'not true. Snowmen aren't complete without scarves. I'm very stubborn on this point-- for I am a great believer in well-dressed snowmen.

For the love of the Mayor, friend, reconsider! :eager:

'Sides-- I betcha if ya asked the Mayor he'd prefer a scarf.

Edit: Yupyup. Like CK says, it's all about the decoration. ;)
