Okay, here's a few stories for Wolfie's team
Vulipx: Gemini found an abandoned Pokemon egg when she was very young. Her mother let her keep it and take care of it, and she was determined that whatever Pokemon hatched from it would someday be her partner. She was thrilled when, one bright and sunny day, it hatched into a Vulpix. They've been partners ever since. The name Hikari comes from the bright sunshine that was shining the day she hatched.
Charmander: Gemini's starter. She already knew when she went to see a certain professor that she wanted a Charmander. She named him Lucifer because he's a fire lizard, and fire and serpents both had ties to the devil, plus Lucifer means light.
Growlithe: The first Pokemon Gemini ever caught as a trainer. She and Hikari fought a difficult battle, and in the end, when Hikari fainted, the Growlithe actually went to her and started licking her cheek. He let Gemini capture him then, and has been a loyal member of the team ever since.
Ponyta: While traveling with her friend and rival, they came across a Ponyta whose leg was hurt. Gemini reacted without thinking, and went to help it. After it burned her several times, she got it to trust her, and she brought it to a Pokemon center to be healed. When Gemini tried to release it back into the wild, it followed her instead, so she caught it.
Houndour: Gemini came across Houndour after her first gym battle. Of course she wanted it, but her team were all too tired to battle. So, Gemini tackled it herself and wrestled with it until it gave in. The Houndour fought hard, but it gave up after a while and let Gemini catch it. She named him Cerberus for the burning hellfire that he used on her when she first tackled him.
Riolu: Riolu was a special case. One day, when she and her friends were visiting a town and enjoying the sights, they saw a trainer with a Riolu who was training it too hard. Gemini played spy and followed the trainer to gather proof that they were abusing the poor Pokemon, and found that they were actually a Team Rocket member. She called the police and the trainer was hauled off, and the Riolu decided to stay with Gemini after that. She named him Zephyr because he runs as fast as the wind.
