I work outside so frozen is a state of being for me. But yes I had a happy day. Thank you for asking.

I do both regular and emergency maintenance on two facilities. These are senior living complexes.

outside work is hard I'm sure... in the elements. is it very cold where you live?

I live in the city now but I grew up on a farm with horses and pigs and chickens and rabbits, so there was lots of work outside during all seasons :/ thankfully we have a subtropical climate here so the worst things were the humidity and mosquitoes

I love being able to help people and to fix things. The holidays are nice cause I spend a lot of my daylight hours putting up Christmas lights.

lolol omg vanora yes! I get super distracted especially when I have free time for here :p the DAC just calls out to me lol

I hate using the DAC sometimes. xD
It's so frustrating when I need to change my hair color a million times. xD

I always forget to change my hair or take it off for DAC lol then I have weird colored hair in all my dream looks :p

Yes it is! I thoroughly enjoy my job. I look forward to it every day.

and the other thing that drives me bonkers on DAC is when I find something there, then cannot find it anywhere else in any searches on marketplace lol

that's important I think slide :) liking your job I mean. otherwise you are spending a large portion of your life unhappy and that's no good :/

I was a caterer before I had my son. it was super fun and we did events like proms and cotillions and banquets for the alumni and stuff at my college. it was the best and I loved it! so it was just like going and doing something entertaining and getting paid for it

I have a need to change it to fit the avi I'm working on, haha. I frustrate myself. xD

I have always had a knack for fixing things, and I love doing it. And helping the elderly is kinda fun.

also they had this really awesome system of work shifts that couldn't have been any more brilliant

they put up two large boards and wrote the days if the week for two weeks along the top
then they would get events and functions and they would post a sign under the day it corresponded with

the sign would say something like 'alumni brunch! we need 20 staff for (date and time and place) please sign up before (a few days before actual event)

so you basically could decide what days you wanted to work and which you didnt

That would be nice but I am the only maintenance tech within 300 miles. So I work alone. Always. I field all the after hour emergency calls and I do all the work.

yes its such a wonderful thread concept salvete! I was happy to participate both in giving and receiving and if I make sales I'm going to give again... everyone's so generous and cool here

Unfortunately I don't have any of the items to give on the ribbons right now :(

well its the thought that counts salvete :) and a lot of people are receiving their wishes

slide that sounds peaceful. its always nice not to have a boss right over your shoulder

Wish I could really help out though.

Guess I need to hurry and post more so maybe I can at least buy an item from the marketplace for someone!
