She worked for several years after he died, but after she retired she became a homebody.
Once in a while I could get her to go to one of the cloth shops to look for remnants, she liked to sew & quilt until her arthritis got too bad.
She taught me to sew & we started on a quilt together, but never finished it. :(

That is so sad. My grandfather was a homebody too after my grandmother died, he didn't really have any hobbies that he liked and he always felt like he was being a burden if he asked people to do something with him.
I live in another state, so I feel so bad that I wasn't able to hang out with him as often as he'd probably liked me to.

It was obvious he was lonely. I just wish he had something to occupy his mind while he was still alive, you know?

The pain & it gets worse as the years go by.
I fell from the top step & hit every step on the way down to the concrete stepping stones & had to crawl up the steps to get help.
That was almost 10 years ago & every winter the pain seems to get worse.
