Rain. It was raining hard that night. Nanoke ran desperately, trying to escape the ones behind her. She could not let herself be captured. Not by them. Not by the night-walkers. She had to escape. The stinging torrents of icy rain pounded down on her head as she ran desperately. But soon, fate intervined, and she found herself at a dead end. She turned to face those which persued her. She looked ready to fight.

The oldest and best protected one moved forward before smirking. "don't worry, you'll be taken care of..." he smirked in a low dark and gloomy voice, his bright blue eyes had a strange glance.


Jack was still at the mention he was now an adult, but it seemed as if everyone had forgotten about his birth day, with a small sigh he sat at his desk, drawing something on a paper sheet.

Nanoke's eyes narrowed. She stooped into a defensive stance. "You lie, night walker! I'll not be some feind's plaything!" She declared, distraughtly.

The creatures circled around her. "I don't...you make the perfect gift for a very important person..." the eldest declared before his gloved hand shot out and grabbed hers gently but firm. Soon the others got a nice hold of her.

She fought desperately. "I'm not an object to be given! Let me go!" She demanded.

But the men were much stronger, soon they got her to sleep and brought her to the huge mansion where they all lived.
The girl was nicely dressed up and had a little bow to her wrist. The vampires were decent creatures though.

But that didn't change the instictual fear she had of them. When she awoke, she paniced. "Where... Where am I?" She asked, frightened.

A maiden looked at her. "It's okay darling, you're safe.' she said.

Soon the younger vampire was led into the room with a blindfold. The red hair was long it reached it lower back, he was tall and slightly athletic build.

His father took off the blindfolds and walked away again. "be nice to one other!"he grinned.

The younger one opened his piercing blue eyes. When he saw the fallen angel he blushed and turned away. "I-I-I'm sorry!" he muttered.

She looked down. "I won't be easy to deal with... I'm not some pet..." She said, softly. She was frightened right now, and it was obvious.

He looked back at her and blushed. "n-no, you aren't...I understand, but you cannot leave either..." he said then he tried very carefully to approach her. He seemed scared of her, as if she was a monster.

"I... I'll escape! Eventually I will." She said obstinately. She began to back up as he moved closer to her.

Jack softly sighed before backing up and sat on the ground.
"I'm really sorry...I don't want to scare or hurt you..." he mumbled like a child would do.

She calmed some, but the distrust was written all over her face. "What do you want from me?" She asked, quietly.

Jack looked at her and shrugged. "I don't know..You're obviously my birthday gift... but..." he whispered drawing circles on the floor. "I don't want someone to be a gift...I just want a friend." he whispered.

This one kinda caught her by surprise. She came closer, just examining the male before her. She still seemed uneasy, but not quite so badly.

Jack looked at her with his friendly face before he looked away again. He was shy man, not really the guy that would stand up for himself.

"You're rather quiet..." She said, letting a rather childish curiousity take hold of her.

Jack looked up at her and blushed. "I'm sorry..." he whispered. "I'm a bit shy..."

"Not like I can do much..." She muttered. One of her wings was pretty damaged.

Jack looked at her and noticed her messed up wing. He slowly got up and looked at her. He turned to get an aidkit out. Slowly he moved to her and sat down beside her. Gently he took her wing. "May I?"

She winced as the wing was sensitive. "Just watch what you do..." She warned cautiously.

Gently he cleaned the soft feathers best he could. Then he bandaged it. "there...now let it rest. In a week it should be fine." he said as he let his rather soft hands caress the binds softly.
