New Baby in the Family: Yan

Birth of Yan

Aww here's our baby being born in free hand style with out a printer and in fancy dark blue marker. After all every child is a unique gift. I look so stressed out. Birthing is hard work! As you can see Yan has more than one side to him and is laminated for his protection. Nothing to good for mommies little joy. Big sister Lilith loves Yan too! She couldn't wait to hold him.

Feeding Time!

Oh my! For just being born he certainly knows what he likes already. Sadly it's mostly sugary food that just aren't good for a growing child. I told him he has to at least try the turkey breast pita before getting any sweet. He gave a bit of lip but I stood my ground. In the end I think he secretly liked it because it was all gone before ice-cream time. :)

Aww Here's a clip of Lilith spinning little Yan in the chair. I'm so proud of them, they play well together.

Little Manga Ninja Yan

I've noticed some interesting behavior from Yan...he seems to have Ninja like tendencies. This is something I should keep an eye on. I found him sneaking up on his auntie who just happens to have a rather large Manga collection.

Playtime!

Here we have some supervised game time. He can hardly wait to log into World of Warcraft with me and watch the fiery destruction of the Horde's enemies (which are the player's of the opposite team "The Alliance"). Of course I make sure to tell him this is just a game and that we don't hurt people in real life unless it's in self defense.

Bath-time!

After a bit of play time it was time for a nice bath to wind down the night. He really seemed to love the bubbles. Well, until he got a bit in of them in his eye. No tears my butt! that brand should SO get sued. Poor thing. I fixed him up right away though. So no harm done. He got over it quick. It's amazing how strong young ones are. :heart:

Quiet Time

I feel it's important to include a bit of quiet time before bed. A bit of art and reading before bed is a nice way to end the day. Yan surprised me with an, um interesting picture. It seems I'll be having "the talk" much earlier than expected with this one. :shock:

Sweet Dreams Yan: Dino Army?

And now it's time for Yan to go to sleep. He always is kicking the covers off. Who knows what they dream of when they drift off into a sweet slumber. He has a cute habit of grunting and growling in his sleep...always makes me wonder. Perhaps he's talking to his Dino Army.

Late Night Party Monster!!

I would have NEVER believed it if I hadn't seen the pictures on my camera. My little angel is a party animal!!! Doughnuts, Iced Coffee, Panties!? Someone is in BIG trouble when they wake up I tell you. Just where did that little brat get the money for those things?

Late Night Dance Party?!

Here's a video of Yan's Late night dance party with himself. He doesn't know now, but he'll be very embarrassed of this one when he grows up and watches it. I believe this is wedding video material.

The Talk

So I had a heart to heart with Yan about the other night. . .as well as his art skills. He must have been hungry because he was staring at my chest the whole time.

Outside with Sis

The kids are having a great time this morning. It's such a beautiful day outside and they're taking full advantage with tree climbing and playing in the garden. So nice to see them get outside. :)

Keeping Cool

With all the sun today Lilith asked if she could go to the corner store for a slush treat. I said yes...but she had to take her baby brother too.

Groceries with Grandma& Sis



Grandma visited today! She was delighted to meet little Yan. She took the kids shopping with her to get some milk and other things. He seemed excited to just be out and about seeing all the new faces.

When they got home grandma was putting away the groceries and turned her back for only 5 seconds...and he was up on the fridge. What a climber!

This is our kitty pikachu. (My sister named her when she was young) I think I see why she's been in hiding the past couple of days. . .

Movie Night: The free freak out



Nothing like watching a movie in your fancy new underwear to be relaxed. We watched Bedtime stories. Yan was so cute when he started cheering for the free Ferrari. It was his first movie so I had the camera ready. XD Of course he's still Yan, the lady got his attention back on the movie.

Fishing Trip!



Papa was surprised when I told him we had a new son. But he was happy to. We took yan out for some dumplings and then for some time fishing. We fished till pretty late but didn't catch anything. He mostly liked watching out the window as we drove there. He fell asleep on the way back home.

YAN SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED!
