Adding on to what r_e_n_o_Love said about season six:

Kripke is stepping down to concentrate on some other projects of his, but they will still consult him if need be and I think Sera Gamble is taking over for him.

As far as story line goes, the apocalypse is over. Season six will not be "Apocalypse 2: the Squeakquel". The creators know that a lot of TV series' (especially sci-fi/supernatural based ones) try to go too big after their initial myth arc has hit it's climax and eventually collapse under the weight of their own convuluted story lines. So they have said that they are wiping the board clean and going back to basics. From what I understand, season six will be like season one in a lot of ways, where the boy's biggest problem was just finding their dad (not stopping the apocalypse). I think they wanna go simple and build another myth arc from the bottom up.

I, for one am psyched for next season. X3

I love the show, and I'll watch it until it doesn't exist anymore, but I think they've taken things a bit too far with their story line. It just keeps getting more complicated than it needs to be. But, at least it hasn't gotten boring yet.

OMFG!!! I love Supernatural! I can't wait for the next season. =D
One thing about Supernatural that I don't like is how involved in Christianity it became. It just kinda bothers me.
Another thing that I'm not too fond of is how Dean and Sam's personalities changed so much. I miss Dean always joking around and being light hearted and Sam just acting like a little kid. Now it makes me sad how Dean is always near tears, and Sam is just frustrating. DX

Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and always will. I just miss the old Dean and the old Sam.

ii loveeee Supernatural. ii watched all 6 seasons!! ii love castiel the most tho cuz hes like the most "down to earth" there. no pun intented. but yea hes the more qo with the flow character.

Is it true that Supernatural only has one season left to wrap things up?

Yea im so saddd!! they had to wrap up the story lines n stuff .. they were suppose to stop at season 5 but they didnt. n decidin on stoppin at season 7
