The Ooc- Monster (ooc)

Monster

Video insperation:

Plot:

Welcome to Roseveil. A small happy town in which all the people are happy and friendly, the town is doing well, hasn't fought, crime is virtually nonexistant, all seems to be going well. There is an old house that stands just outside of the town. It has stood pretty much unoccupied...until now that is. Meet the Darkwind family. A simple every day mother, father, daughter, and son. Well, at least that's what people would like to think, but something is slightly...off about this family. No one can quite put their finger on it, but they arn't normal at all. As soon as they arrive however, bad things begin to happen. Bad luck befalls the town, crime seems to skyrocket in the sense that the members of the town begin to be found dying in the strangest ways. No one knows what is going on at all, but it seems that Roseveil isn't to safe anymore.

Darkwind Family:

On the outside, they seem like an ordinary mother, father, daughter, son family. They appear a bit of to the other members of the town, but they are not to sure what it is about the family that is off. Unknown to the town, the family are actually a family of demons who look just like humans. They feed off of the mysery and pain of others, and overtime, exposure to them can kill someone. They suck the life right out of people so to speak. They do have a strange habit of enjoying torturing their victims, seen as playing with their food before they eat, so when the town's people start to end up dying from "accidents" or "mysterious causes" they are not so innocent. Each member of the family also has a talent, or a power. The father can manipulate shadows, the mother can move things with her mind, the daughter crecan influence people to do her bidding, and the son brings the creatures he draws and paints to life.

Akimo Darkwind

Akimo looked up at the house before them with a slight smile. The movers were taking the boxes inside along with the furniture. They were in Roseveil, a new home, a new start, and fresh meat. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit under his breath. This was going to be fun. He looked up at the sun. They would have to be careful for the first day or so, but once things got into the normal rhythm they always did, the fun would begin. He turned as one of the movers came up asking him where he wanted the large paintings that were hidden under large white sheets. He gave a slight wave of his hand telling them to put them in his room. He would have to situate things later himself. For Akimo his bedroom was more of a studio and his sanctuary, in a way his escape. He usually kept it locked, and would have to get a key for the door at this house.

He turns on his left heal and walks over to the large black car his family owned. He opened his bag, and slipped out a sketch pad. He then opened a dark cherry oak wooden box, where he kept his brushes and his pencils and pens. He chose a pencil he had gotten from their last home, it had been good luck to him so far. He turned back to the house, and let his hand flow across the page. He didn't really even have to look at what he was doing, his hand made large elegent strokes and shadings across the page. He looked down finally to see a dog like creature. He smiled , and turned away from the others walking aroud to the side of the house.

He waved his hand slowly over the picture, and slowly the ink beast began to pull away from it and grow into how it would look in real life. He nods towards the town "go find out what you can, survey the area." The little dog creature gave a strange bark, and turnned, running off down the hill towards the town. Akimo watched it for a moment, before closing the sketch pad and turning back to the house. He walked up the steps that led to the entrance, and moved inside the house. He saw the movers moving to anf fro moving things to wherever his mother ordered them to be placed. He wondered where his sister had gotten off to, last time he had seen her was when they had arrived.

He shrugs he was sure that she was arround here somewhere, and his father was in town finalizing the papers so the family would own the house and the land. Akimo makes his way past the stairs, running his fingertips along the banister. A slight smirk on his lips he had what these humans would call butterflies in his stomach. The anticipation was almost overwhelming. He loved moving to new places, for after awhile of being in the same place the scenery and the food tended to get a bit boaring. He frowns slightly. He wasn't a big fan of killing to feed at times, but he couldn't tell his parents, no, they would be furious with him, and would probrably punish him for being such a fool.

He reaches the kitchen and looks around slightly, things in the house were certainly comming together. This was going to be a good town, he could feel it. He herd a crash in the living room, moving to the door he saw that one of the movers had dropped his mother's favorite crystal vase. It had shattered and the pieces were all across the now scratched hard swood floor. He smiles chuckling lightly. He wondered what his mother would say when she came in and saw what had happened. He had a feeling he knew now who his mother's first victim in the town would be...

Rin Darkwind

The short young female crouched down at the side of the wall. She was closely observing a worm that was making its way toward a water pipe. Inch by inch it scooted on its belly in front of her along the crease between the wall and the grass. She stopped looking at it for a moment to view a window. Standing up, she got up on her tippy toes and peeked inside.

She saw a few men lifting heavy boxes and rolled her eyes. 'Boooring...' She thought, crouching back down to discover that her worm was further ahead than she thought. From the corner of her eye, she saw one mover pick up her mother's favorite crystal vase. Rin's smile was malicious as she tilted her head toward the man and whispered under her breath. "Drop it..."

The loud crash that followed made Rin giggle and crouch back down. She crawled toward the worm that had now reached the water pipe and was relaxing underneath it in the shade. She raised an eyebrow and pulled her shoe off, squishing its head and putting her shoe back on. She then stood up and began walking to the front of the new house.

Brushing off her knees, she walked through the front door and found her brother- Akimo- chuckling at the sight of the mover scratching the back of his head and muttering things like "...accident.." and "..wasn't thinking..."

She slid through the many boxes in her path with ease and stopped next to him. He was about her height and shared the same black hair as her. "Oops..." She let out a quiet laugh and winked at him.

He looked over as his sister appeared next to him. "Mother wont be to happy, even less if she finds out that was you" he smiles, then crosses the room to the ice chest that sat one one of the counters. He slipped out a green tea, a human drink he had taken a liking to. He unscrewed the lid to the bottle, and takes a sip of the liquid within. He looks back over to his sister. "So what do you think about all this? Starting over yet again dear sister" he was slightly curious about what she thought. Out of the family his sister was the one he was closest to. He waited for a response, and takes another drink of the cold liquid. He also was slightly waiting for what would happen when their mother came in and discovered the vase was broken.

"Mother won't find out." She tilted her head up and crossed her arms. When asked what she thought about the move, she tapped her chin in thought. The steady beat built a rhythm in her mind and she began humming it. She looked up at him and shrugged. "I don't really care. Its not like I left anything special at the last place." 'Or the place before that, or the place before that...' She had an inkling that her brother might feel differently, though. Being so close in age to him meant that they did a lot of things together and were close since childhood.

"What about you?"

He pauses from his drink, and looks over at his sister. "Theres something different about this place then the ones where we have been before" he says. He looked out the window towards the town. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was something about this place that gave him good and bad feelings at the same time. He shrugged and turnned to go up the back stairs. "I'm going to go check out my room, better to get started now then to waste time dawdling" he stepped towards the stairs and then pauses. "We will be beginning school here tomorrow, I thought you would be interested to know that their in the middle of planning a dance, I'm sure it will be....a night to remember" he heads up the stairs.

Rin blinked as her brother thought aloud about the new town. She let him begin walking upstairs and had began walking away when he mentioned school. She paused and shivered- having hated every vile-smelling human school they'd attended. Hopefully, it was a private school. Rin hated those less than public ones. She nodded her small 'farewell' for the moment and continued walking around downstairs.

Her thoughts led to the dance Akimo had mentioned. She hoped it would be fun. If not, she could always make it that way. She walked out to the new backyard and sat down on a swing tied to a rope under a tree. As she swung back and forth, her short black hair weaved in and out of her vision. She felt her stomach twist in on itself and she growled quietly. She was hungry, but it would have to wait until later.

Akimo counted the stairs up to his room. He sighed a bit reaching the landing, as the long dark hall stretched out before him. This was going to be their home now, and he might as well get used to it. He moved down the hall, pass the many doors, this place was more like a mansion then a simple house. He looked in and saw his mother had already directed many of the families belongings into various rooms. He saw his sisters room as well, near the bathroom. None of these felt to right to him, he needed a big and open space. He noticed the seccond set of stairs at the end of the hall, and walks up them. Opening the door at the top, he found they led to a large room that was just below the attic. A smile forms on his lips as he scans the area.

Now this was more like it, this was deffinetly more of a space he could sink his teeth into...so to speak. It had two large windowa that faced the front of the house, and a small circle window that faced the side. He walked slowly over to one of the larger ones, and looked out to see the movers still at work. Yes, this would do nicely. He wasted no time in bringing his things in. He set up the bed between the two windows. The large dark cherry frame from the same forrest of trees where his carrier box had come from. He spred out the red silk sheets, and then the black comforter that he used. He sat the black and red cased pillows in a neat order over the top of the bed and a red throw blanket across the foot of the bed.

He then turned to the walls, the bare wood of the upper house very unappealing. He smiles slightly this was an easy thing to fix. He opened a case and pulled out a large paint can of dark crimson paint. He then pulled out a larger sketch pad, and began to draw creatures who looked more like paintbrushes. One by one they peeled off of the page, and dipped themselves in the paint. In a matter of mitutes, the room was painted, and the creatures hop back over laying themselves back on the sketchbook page like they had never existed. He then began to uncover the large canvases and the paintings, framed in dark wood frames. He hung them in a particular order, that not only complemented the room but gave him inspiration.

He allowed the movers in for only a bit, to position the dark wood furniture that matched his bed's style in the room. A large wardrobe under the circle window. A desk and wooden chair directly across from the foot of the bed, and the large wood eizle near the window closest to the door. They also brought in the wooden cabinet, placing it a few steps away from the side of the door, where his canvases, paints, brushes and supplize for all his masterpieces would be stored. He also had them bring up a black leather trunk which he kept locked at all times placing it at the end of the bed. He placed a long black pillow cusion on the survace to masquerade it as seating.

He hung the black curtains over the windows and closed them immediately. He placed up the black gothic style lamps, he loved the older gothic stule, the curves and the way it flowed. The slightly red tinted shades gave the room a warm feel. He thought the room was comming together nicely, a few other touches and it was complete. He layed a black rug on the wood floor before the bed, where he layed a pair of black slippers. He began unpacking his clothes, putting them away in the wardrobe and the closet. He was thankful for the small bathroom that was just outside his door in the small hall that led to his room. He hadn't wanted to share with his sister to much, she had a tendancy to love spending a lot of time within.

The wite walls made him cringe, and once more he had his little friends redo the walls a black color, but left the white trim. He hung up the red shower curtain and smiles a bit. Sitting out his utilities in a spacific organized order on the counter and the medicine cabinate he was pleased with how it was turning out. He wondered if his parents would get upset with him for having done this while the movers were still here, but he didn't care. He hated wasting time, why put off till later what you could get done now. By the time he had finished, the movers were gone. He was glad for that, he had been slightly hungry seeing them, but had not touched. He slowly returns walking back down to the kitchen.

((Here goes.))
In the faded blue house just down the hill from where the new family was moving in, Gemini sat in her bed and thought.the moment the family had driven into town, her senses had gone off, like a warning bell clanging around in the back of her mind.this was nothing new- most families around here had spirits that hung around them all the time.no, the problem was that this family had no spirits around them.the animals were frightened, that much was obvious, though no one else could tell.and the spirits stayed far away from those people.all in all Gemini had plenty of reasons to be suspicious, but the most troubling thing about the situation was that she wasn't concerned with any of that.her mind was on the boy.the son of the new family had caught her eye as soon as they had showed up, and even though she had only caught a glimpse of him, that fleeting image refused to leave her mind.needless to say, no one, male or female had ever had this effect on her before.Gemini tended to not concern herself with other people, being closer to the spirits that spoke to her all the time.she belonged to the darkness she knew, not the light.she had always had one foot in each world, but as she grew up she had started to realize that the world of the normal had nothing to offer her.it was the supernatural that called out to her.so why did this boy catch her attention? Frustrated, she climbed the stairs to the widows walk above her bedroom and watched from that vantage point as the movers continued their work.she was too far away to hear much, just voices carried on the wind, but the view was perfect and she could see everything that was going on outside.a movement in one of the upper windows caught her eye, and she focused on it.as she watched, she saw the son moving around, setting things up.he seemed to have claimed that as his room.Gemini smiled.they could see eachother from there.her eyes widened as she caught herself thinking how romantic it would be, if his parents forbid them from seeing eachother so that every night they would look out at eachother and wave and flash Morse code and made plans to be together.she shook the thoughts away violently.how stupid could you get? "Enough.I'm starting to act like those stupid girls at school, dreaming of romeo and Juliette...it can never happen.no one in his right mind would ever even consider dating a weirdo who talks to ghosts." She told herself.yet despite these words, she stood there and continued to watch, hoping to catch another glimpse, or learn something about this new family.

Rin had grown bored of being outside. She saw that dusk was quickly approaching and departed from the tree swing. She brushed off her short white summer dress and tucked her chin-length black hair behind her ears. After a low sigh, she skipped off down the hill of their backyard that led to a wooded area. When she reached the area of the trees, she looked around and noticed that they were artificial. They had to be, she thought, because of their perfect alignment. Making a game out of it, she started with her back to one of the trees and counted each step to the next. A solid eleven steps between every one of them only proved her theory.

She crossed her arms and started to walk back toward the house- until she caught the sight of a chunky squirrel frolicking about on the tree branches above her. Rin smiled mischievously. 'Come to me.' She commanded with her mind. The squirrel obeyed willingly and stopped right at her feet. She reached down and smiled, petting it softly and even sitting down and talking with it for a while. Any human would think her mad. Sooner or later, she got bored again. Standing up, she noticed that the squirrel was following her. She simply looked back and raised an eyebrow. 'Go away, rodent.' As it scurried off, she smiled and skipped cheerily back up the hill and into their backyard.

She returned inside the house as it had just became dark and peered around to see if she could find anyone. It seemed nobody was around at the moment. She made her way up the stairs to her room for the first time and plopped onto her bed that was unmade. For some reason, she had hoped that someone would make her room up for her. She wasn't all too good with designing or making things her own style. In all reality, she didn't even know what her style was. She propped her head up on her cheek and looked around her new room. It was nothing to be proud of really- not ugly, nor pretty. For now, there were only boxes and dressers cluttering her space. She made a mental note to invite someone over soon and have them do all of the work.

Sighing again, she pulled her dark purple blankets over her back and closed her eyes. She had no clue why she was so tired... She felt more hungry than anything.. Soon enough, she'd passed out and entered her own little sleepy-land.

Rena bustled around the house making sure everything had a place ready for when her loving husband should show up she still couldn't believe he had made them go on ahead without him she sighed at the thought at least she could manage on her own...well she had the children but they alone could be a handfull. She smiled to herself as she worked to straighten up the house she knew that her little boy didn't like all the moving aorund they did but demons weren't like humans and people would eventually get nervous and no one likes a nervous meal. She finished her work she decided to go out for a bite. She sooon found some random boy her favorite meal and began to freak the crap out of him she loved using her gift to move things with her mind then coming to be the dashing warrior goddess then suck the boy dry she didn't really need to be seen but she liked kissing humans it wasn't a pass time her family knew about but she did it anyway. Once she had drained the boys fear and pain she left him not nowing what hit him and scurried home.

Finx walked slowly down the dark streets of her new town checking things out she wasn't the only new person in town a family had moved in down the street from the building she called home. The children were about her age with black hair well the mother had light purple hair and was at least in her twenties it was just the three of them. The kids were a boy and a girl both kinda dorky looking but she wouldn't mess with them something about them made her feel threatened well the mother exuded an aura of power and ask no questions for you shall reseve no anwsers. She frowned slightly she was never afrais of anything but they freaked her out in a way she couldn't explain with a shake of her head she climbed the stairs to her room and fell onto her bed still in her jogging cloths.

As twilight settled in, Gemini realized that it was getting a little cold.she had stood out on her widows walk most of the day, watching the new family move in.she had watched as the movers finished and left, and she had watched as the mother had left the house- probably to go shopping, she thought.not long after the mother had gone, Gemini felt the spirits stirring, restless.something important was happening, she could tell, but she didn't know what.a chill ran down her spine and made the hairs raise on her arms and the back of her neck.glancing one last time at the room where she had seen the son, she went back inside, deciding that it was time for dinner and then bed.school was starting soon, and there was alot to do.she sighed, hating the thought of yet another year spent wasting away among the hateful population of the town.and, of course, her birthday was coming up.not that she expected anything.both of her parents were away, as usual, and wouldn't be back until around christmas.and since she didn't have any friends, she was sure to be spending halloween, her sixteenth birthday, alone.the birthmark on her forehead, covered by her bangs, prickled uneasily.she rubbed at it and decided against dinner, after all.instead, she just went to bed.she fell asleep quickly and her dreams were filled with shadows, demons and ghosts reaching for her.

With a slightly easy rub of her eye, Rin sat up in her bed and yawned away her sleepiness. She slid her feet out of the bed and practically jumped to her new closet. When she opened the door, she had realized that she still hadn't unpacked. 'Hm...' She crossed her arms with a pout and looked back at all of the boxes she had to look through for something to wear. Throwing her hands in the air, Rin decided that it may just be better to start looking than to keep whining about it.

Nearly an hour later, she'd found two boxes of clothes. From them, she managed to make something out of a boring, very basic black skirt, a casual semi-laced tank top, and (to spice up her day) a dashing pair of bold rainbow knee-high socks.

With a new hope for the day, she stood up and grabbed a bag. She had a feeling that her mother would be around somewhere to give her and her brother school supplies and a ride. When her mind trickled to her brother, she decided that she should go check up on him. When she walked down the hall to what was supposed to be his room, she realized that nothing was there. She then saw a set of stairs branching from the hallway close-by and grinned, knowing exactly where he was.

Akimo slipped out of bed yawning slightly. He had slept well that night, having his room completed and looking nice. He stretches a bit, his arms clasping behind his head. He glances around the room a bit, before turning to go get dressed. He needed to find something nice to wear for his first day of school. He smiles, this was going to be a fun day. He slips on a pair of black pants, and a white button up shirt.. Fixing the cuffs, he then slips on a black vest and a tie. He wanted to look good...First impressions were everything after all. He smiles in the mirror, and turns away. Making his bed, he heads for the door.

"Tch...What a bore" Hiero threw his bag on the couch. He was about to head out to that school once more, where all those people could talk and laugh behind his back, about how he was crazy. They wouldn't dare say it to his face though, no...they would rather cower and speak behind his back instead of owning up to their own words. It made him sick to have to keep seeing all those fakes. He looks over above the fireplace where the black scabbard hung, containing his father's old sword. He sighs lightly. His father wouldn't have took this, he would have stepped up and done something about this. He turns back as his uncle comes out from down the hall.

He didn't say anything to him, instead grabbing his bag and walking out. He and his uncle argued a lot, especially when it came to the subject of Hiero following in his father's footsteps. He walked dowwn the walkway to the street outside and sighs looking up at the sky. This was his life? This was all he was ment for? He clenches his hands, balling them into fists, before turning away from the house and his uncle to walk down the street. He pulled out a lighter a ways away. His uncle didn't approve of his smoking, said he was to young and it was a bad habit, but he found it more relaxing. He lights one up, and watches the smoke trail off towards the sky, before walking on.

Gemini woke up early, as usual, after a night of unusually bad dreams.she had dreams every night, but most of the time it was just spirits coming to her and talking to her in her sleeping mind.she hadn't had nightmares like these since a vampire wandered through town when she was five, and left a few days later after confusing the doctors with bouts of anemia in random women.shaking off her ominous feelings, she got up and showered, then dressed.for the first day of school, she decided to make a good impression with a black off the shoulder t-shirt sporting a bleeding heart logo, a provocatively short black skirt with chain belt and skull buckle that only just fit the dress code, black and green striped stockings-exactly like the ones on the witch from the wizard of oz- black jack skellington arm warmers and a choker of red velvet with a charm of an old, medieval key.she pulled her blood red hair up into high pigtails and fastened them each with black chopsticks, and brushed her bangs to one side to cover up her birthmark.she looked herself over in her full length mirror and nodded, then finished the look with black combat boots.once satisfied with her blatantly rebellious look, she grabbed an apple and her backpack and headed out locking the door behind her.she swung her black green day themed backpack over one shoulder, took a bite of her apple, and walked down the street towards school, wondering vaguely how long it would take the populars to convince the new kids to hate her.she sighed."just a few more blind humans to misunderstand and hate.no big deal.just another day in hell." She said to herself.but inside she was thinking is this what I'm meant for, as far as I'll ever get in life? Is this really as good as it gets?

((Is anyone else gonna post? I'll just throw something out there, to move it along...))
Arriving early at school, Gemini stopped and looked around to see how many others had shown up.she knew everyone in her small town, had grown up with all of them, even if most of them rejected her.she knew each and every person (living and dead) that currently inhabited the town.it was these all too familiar faces she looked for now, scanning among them to see who was going to make waves this year.she made predictions at the beginning of every year as to who would be popular, who would be cast out, who would set the trends and who would date whom.she was right 95 percent of the time, mostly because she listened to the ghosts that followed the people around, and partly because she was not part of it.being on the outside looking in gave her an exclusive analytical view of the goings on of the school.in the past two years, she had begun a small business for those who knew the 'underground' workings of the school.they would come to her in secret and ask for predictions at a dollar a question, or place bets on things depending on her observations.if their bets won out, they got their money back- minus a five dollar fee for her services- and if not the money would go to the winning better.if no one bet against them and they were wrong, Gemini kept the money.thinking over the odds for this year, Gemini leaned against a wall in the shade, hiding from the already- warm sun.she was sure to get bets and questions about the new kids today.news traveled fast in small towns, and rumors would have spread like wildfire overnight.
