that's weird it was so hated :( i guess i don't pay much attention to that sort of thing and thought it seemed fun. although, i was late to the sims 3 party because i was still loving sims 2 and wanted to wait until i was totally bored with 2 before getting 3. fortunately, my mom, brother and two of my aunts love sims and between them all we had all the expansion packs it wasn't very spendy at all! and that's usually my concern

Oh man, yeah the cost is so much. Before it all turned digital I used to split the cost of expansions with a friend and we'd get one copy of each between us. Brought the price way down.

yea that's a good idea! see, my family would just buy the ones they liked and i'd download their copies and buy the ones they didn't care about/want to buy. it worked out very cheap for me. i spent a lot of time getting most of sims 3 and while down loading the fast lane expansion pack something happened and it ruined my entire game so allll the hours spent was sent right down the crapper. i put the game up for a verrrry long while and my brother got me a very interesting and very compressed file of all the sims 3 games that takes less memory. so far so good and the only thing that makes it go a little wonky is if there are two many sims in one household. -_- it makes the time freeze

Ah that is fair. I run mac, and it's pretty hard to find downloads of games that actually work on mac, because gamers don't use it. (For good reason, really. This is why I primarily use consoles, the sims is an exeption)

ah yes i've heard that too. is it just because it's built for other things and doesn't pack the same punch/equipment for gaming?

Well it's more that Macs are basically uneditable. You can't improve the graphics card, or the cooling, or anything. What you've got is all you've got. So for gaming they would become outmoded so quickly as games get better. Also, a lot of games just aren't released for it. It's frustrating at times but honestly I use it almost entirely because of how nice the keyboard is for typing. Very well spaced for touch typing.

I love playing the sims! I play the sims 3 on my xbox360, and I have the sims 4 on my laptop. Sadly because of college and homework, I haven't been able to play the games anymore. I do hope to play it once the semester is over though. I miss playing the games. I mist say, the way the sims dance in the sims 4 is adorable! xD

I know I was a bit.. random with my last post. XD But yuuuuss. Did you choose any supernatural species as your sim? I like being a witch.. or a hybrid. With the right mod you can be a hybrid and I thought that was pretty cool.

ooo a hybrid? that's fun! i don't get any of the mods, i guess i just don't know how and because i like the games as is, i don't feel like learning

i always try to have a household of everything so i can try it all. the fairy one is fun, and so is the vampires and witches. i'm not a huge fan of werewolves though for some reason. oh and it's from different packs, and thus technically not 'supernatural' but i like being a mermaid as it's fun exploring underwater as well as being a plant sim am i missing anything?

I really liked the mermaids as well Lin. And witches! The first time I played supernatural I thought you were supposed to kill the zombies tho, so I shot the hell out of them with spells all night... Finally got the hang of just walling off my vege patch EVENTUALLY.

I started building houses that had back doors that led directly into a walled off garden.

Hilariously, my laptop overheats less with Sims 4 than it did with Sims 3. It's probably because it's not running so many expansions but it still entertains me because I expected the opposite.
