The werewolf's legs were frozen. He struggled to free himself.

maddie struggle to crawl t the lake because if she coud get to it she could heal herself faster then with ice.

The werewolf broke free, but then tripped and impaled himself on a shard of ice. He coughed up a pool of blood.

maddie was almost to the water but she was to weak to crawl anymore so she just laid there almost dead.

The werewolf removed the ice shard. He looked at Maddie, then collapesd, dead.

maddie still layed there and let out a loud howl requesting the others.

"maddie wants us do you hear that snow" she said hearing the howl.

Snowflake was already out of the den before Amber finished speaking. She ran over to Maddie. "Maddie!" Snowflake nuzzled her. "Maddie, are you ok?"

"im fine i just cant feel my back" she said.

Snowflake licked her wounds. "Can I do anything to help you?"

(:cry: poor maddie she was so young lol]

"no but the werewolf is dead so you two have nothing to worry about." she said. she took off her two ice necklaces and gave one to katrina and one to snow. "you two are the ice guardians now protect the forest" she said and then she stopped moving and her body turned to ice.

Snowflake howled in sorrow. "Waaaaah! Please don't die, please!"

the ice melted and trickled into the water. katrina lowered her head. she gelt a tear fall.

Snowflake would not stop crying. she ran back to the den and buried her head. Buttercup and Hoppy nuzzled her.

"good bye maddie" amber said then ran back to the den to.

As Snowflake cried, she could feel her tears turn into ice crystals.

amber ran into the cave. it seemed colder to her. all of a sudden her tail turned to crystals where the fur was.

A sheet of ice had formed around snowflake. "Amber, why did Maddie have to die?"

"she did it to save us from the werewolf. i dont think she meant to die it just happened" amber said.

"It's not fair. I've lost another loved one" Buttercup and Hoppy slid around on the ice.

"its ok snow. i miss maddie to but remember what she told you about us never actually dieing. she is still in our heart." she siad.

Snowflake got up and wiped away her tears. "Really?"

"of course like your mom and dad. as long as you miss someone they are always with you" she said.

Snowflake smiled. She then looked down at her crystal. "What do we do with these?"

"since maddie isnt here it is our job to protect the forest. it will be fun. we just help the animals that are in big trouble like maddie did with me and you. think you can handle it." she asked.

Snowflake touched her crystal. A pile of snow appeard. "Hooray! I get to help others!"
