I think if I read a review for a product where absolutely everyone loved it I'd be mighty suspicious though, as that just never happens! Reviews are always going to be mixed when it regards personal taste, aren't they.

@ Jelly: I'm not sure I'd want me polish to smell like curry. V_V
@ Knerd: I do have one of those scented polishes. Mine is pink and smells like cotton candy. It smells like regular polish when you are applying it but after it dries it is lightly scented. It isn't very strong though and only lasts a few days. The polish itself is a bit streaky (the color I have anyway) and chips relatively easily though that might have to do with the fact that you can't use a topcoat...

That weird curry smell does fade by the next day, but it's so bizarre ><

Sounds like half of the reviews inhale too much perfume >.>
I have never encountered a nail polish smell that didn't make me want to gag. If they can make it smell like vanilla instead of chemicals or something... maybe I'd permit people I hung out with to wear it...

I don't think I would want my nail polish scented... Granted the regular smell of polish isn't great but I would feel weird about my polish having a particular scent.
And what if I want to wear actual perfume. It would throw everything off.

It's not strong enough to smell it except when you actually sniff your nails so it wouldn't interfere with any perfume. Still, it's kind weird...

So if you can only smell it from a short distance, why is it even worth it?

Yeah, that's basically my problem with it. >.< Still, it's a nice pink so I use it from time to time.

Truth, Poet.
Unless there was some exceptional color, I doubt I would buy it

No-one's ever going to buy a nail polish because of its fragrance, it's about time the manufacturers realised this.

If you want advice on what works and what doesn't... as your guy friends. If he doesn't care what it smells like... odds are most guys don't care.

LOL, I guess that's a good rule to go by. I try to ask my guy about different things like "what do you think of this outfit?" or "does this makeup look nice?" and he usually just says something like "yeah it's okay" which isn't very helpful. >.<

I disagree. These kind of comments, the average guy doesn't have a clue/doesn't care/doesn't notice, so it's not worth the frustration of asking.
In general, you get a guy who does notice regularly, and makes helpful constructive comments etc. I'd worry he was gay. >< It's a gender thing. Girls shouldn't expect a guy to notice unless they've done something like shave their head, because it's just not something they're interested in like girls are. So getting pissed when they don't notice is like the guy getting pissed because their girl doesn't know what all the ball game scores are.
Like I said, it's a gender thing. ><

I think that's also true Jelly. My guy does seem to be making a bit more of an effort recently so maybe he's finally caught onto the fact that I would like to know his opinion on some stuff. *Shrug*

Jelly, that's if you want to know. And if you want us to notice, slather them in glitter herpes... we notice... some of us also move very... very far away...
Haha I'm totally screwed in both fields jelly. I don't notice most female changes and I don't know the ball game scores XD

I think Zig's put her finger on the issue, actually. If you want feedback from a guy on your appearance, he needs to know this.
Women do tend to expect a guy to be psychic and know this without being told, then get pissy because he's not commented on the new hair do/clothing item/make up etc. then, if the guy picks up on this and asked what's the mather, say things like, "nothing, it's fine!".
Humans!
