I've been back since early February and I'm back to stay. <3 Intend to restart my charity within a few hours of the event ending. :)

It's great that you are back to stay. That's awesome that you are going to restart your charity.
I tried to restart mine a long time ago, but there really wasn't much interest so I gave it up.

You know, while I suspected that some folks would be very happy to see me again, the sheer positive response to my return has been pretty overwhelming. I never really realized I was that beloved, I guess. XD

Ah, yeah, Charity seems to be a bit of a ghost town these days, eh? I mean, my locked-in-'13 thread is still about halfway the first page or so.

That is great. I know that when I disappeared for a while and then returned. I was surprised by the response I got from people. It was really great. I think what surprised me the most is that a lot of the newer players knew of me, lol.

Yeah the charity forum kind of died off back around that time. Partly because of the rules for having a charity and what not. Really it's kind of sad because that use to be my home on here, lol.

Yeah, it's just, I was gone for TWO FULL YEARS. Yet not only do people remember me, they're actually telling me that me returning was the best part of this event for them. That's just...surprising, I suppose.

Hopefully my return will somewhat revive Charity. Looking at the amount of posts my event hang-out has gotten even though I haven't even myfriends-pinged the thing, I suspect my thread will at least help Charity a bit. XD

I don't think the new rules are bad tho. Its fair enough to ask that you be able to have something to give away if you're gonna host a charity. xD

Yeah, even though I personally -did- manage before those rules were established in a way that wouldn't even be permitted under the current rules. (My account was a few weeks too young, for one. XD Somehow, I managed to run the darn thing starting on maybe five weeks of Mene experience and a few k of gold. XD)

The rules aren't that new anymore and they aren't a bad thing. It was kind of nice that they put them in place to make sure those who started charities could support them properly.
