Tonight is the fourth night. It's already half over D:

Well no. It starts at sunset, then goes - first night- first day/second night-second day/third night etc

yep, i love midnight mass.
the church is down the streat from my gram and grampa's house.
we get all dressed up and walk to church in the snow.

I remember thinking the midnight mass was a very short service with lots of singing. On Saturday, synagogue is usually from 9 til 12, so i was really surprised that Christmas services were only an hour.

oh, man i would've been so antsie for three hourrs.

It doesn't really seem that long anymore. When I was little I always left halfway through to go play, but I've been sitting through the whole thing since I was about 10 or so. It's the Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur ones that are the hardest to sit through.

Depends on the church. My church only had 11am service and we ended at 1:15pm.

Also depends on the denomination too.

Hummy: Well, Yom Kippur is kind of a confession thing. You're also supposed to use the 10 days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to apologize to people you've wronged over the year.
