Delia just looked at him a bit dumbly. At this point, she had no idea what was going on, and she didn't know if he was going to turn her over to the authorities or not. Hell, that's what she would do if she came across someone who was magical. She'd want to make sure that they wouldn't hurt anyone. She wasn't sure if she should take his hand or not, but the sound of sirens coming closer snapped her out of it.

Scrambling to her feet, she glanced around wildly before hurrying back to her apartment. It was rude to ignore Zasz, sure, but Delia was panicking and not quite thinking straight. She just wanted to find some molecule of comfort somewhere while she figured things out again.

"Hey! Wait! Come back!" Zasz exclaimed before quietly cursing and running after her. He left a mild illusion behind to make everyone else think that everything was as normal as he could manage it looking.

He chased her all the way back up to her apartment, knocking on the door to try and get her to let him in, "Stop panicking! You're just making it worse. I can help you damnit! I know exactly what you're going through."

Delia ignored him, slamming the door of her apartment behind her and leaning against it. Her heart was pounding wildly, making the faint, pulsing glow from the crystal flash quickly at the same pace. She wasn't thinking straight yet, she needed to get her head back on right... Okay, facts. One, she somehow managed to control a structure fire. Somehow. Two, somehow nobody had noticed. She would go back to that one, she wanted to figure out how nobody had seen her. And three... She'd somehow healed another human being, back from seemingly the point of death, and she'd had no control over her body while she'd done it. That scared her. She didn't like not being in control of herself.

Finally, Zasz's words from earlier registered in her brain, and she hesitantly turned and opened the door just enough to peek out to see if he was still there.

Zasz sighed and had begun pacing, trying to figure out what to do. He heard the door open while his back was to it and he quickly turned to face her, "hey!" he stopped and remembered to keep his distance, showing her his hands, "it's okay... I swear I'm not going to hurt you..."

"You... you said you know what's going on?" Delia asked hesitantly, peeking through the tiny opening. She didn't open the door any further than that, instead opting for the continued illusion of safety and security. "How do you know what's happening? What's going on here?" She watched, poised to slam the door shut again if she had to.

"Sort of" he nodded, "you found something that day in the park, didn't you?" Zasz asked softly, "and it became a part of you... Now all these weird things are happening that you can't explain. Somehow that crystal changed you and it's both terrifying and exhilarating all at once... am I right?" as he spoke he slowly inched forward

Delia's eyes widened. How did he know? Then she really thought about what he had said, and she faltered. How did he know so much?

"Who said anything about a crystal?" she asked quietly, looking at him. She shrank back a little as he inched closer. Something wasn't right with the whole situation.
