We've got someone right up in the north of Canada now :O I'm sad that there's not more chatting going on in this thread :( *pokes everyone*

I want to know who the person in Jamaica is and whether or not they'll let me come visit. (If you happen to read this, I'm very nearly house trained 8D)

Yeah, quite a few Antipodeans, which is cool :D I'm still wanting to see some stars in the "empty" countries though :ninja:

I wish it would tell us what the location of the stars are if we scrolled over it. I've seen more detailed visitor maps like that before, I've just got to remember where I saw it...

I'd love it if it told us what country/city was what when you scrolled over it. Despite taking Higher Geography last year, my geographical knowledge is pretty limited.

Yeah, I saw one a while back where you could place your pin yourself (so you could decide how accurate it was), and you could zoom in, move around, and click on the pins to see more details about them. I can't remember where I saw that, though... I almost want to say it was in a user-made thread in Community Discussion years back. Time to go digging!

I know the map you mean! I've seen that before too. I couldn't get it to work for me though. /shot

Those maps are no longer supported. As I found out once I'd actually donated to get one that didn't have a 140 pin limit...so yeah, a couple of quid down the drain there :stare:

Aw, that's not good. D; Those maps were pretty nifty, and didn't try and locate me in a totally different country.

Yeah, they were the best that I'd found. It was Pearl who had the thread in the CD with one in it before  But the map got full, and was full of Mene people who weren't active any more, so it became pointless :(

Do the stars on that map not stay on if you don't keep visiting?

I have no idea xD I'd say they stay without you having to revisit, as it said something on the map's page about they'd made some changes and maps might start suddenly showing a lot more stars as they were showing stuff from some time ago.

I'll probably start a mini-riot if it wipes me off. Not that a one person rebellion could really be classed as a riot. >.>

It got mine about as accurate as the previous one did. It's pretty close, but not my exact town (which is to be expected as I live in a small town and my ISP isn't located here). But there's one star in the middle of the ocean.

Huh... I tried the new map and first it said "unknown country". Now it at least put me in Japan, but incredibly far away in a city I've never heard of.

I see some problems with the second map. It logs the ISP rather than the actual location. I'm in the wrong state (Australian here so being in the wrong state is big).
