Okay so I'm going to build a yan. I wanted to ever since foreverty ( a few minutes ago).

I shall post this up so I can proceed to put updates and other coool stuff. =)

Alright Alright, so everybody wants to know the special ingredients for makin a Yan? Welp, I'll tell you:


Awesome items below needed!!!

1 cool old white bed sheet full of love and stuff
1 ruler or omnigrid ruler
2 sharp objects (scissors or rotary cutter)
1 sewing machine w/magic thread loaded
a bunch of needles
1 loopy needle
1 bob of thread
a bunch of really smelly sharpies
paper (white is best)
body stuffing fluff (stolen from pillows or w/e)
1 camera phone (to document all your glorious building)

So first thing I did was draw out a pattern with a sharpie on the white paper, cuz everyone is born out of a pattern (duh!!! <33)

I drew out a head, body, legs and arms, as proportionate as possible (you can fold paper in half and draw the other side on the paper) I had to redraw some because they would have been too small. =O


For basic shapes of Yan, I did a a loopy circle, a jelly bean torso, and four long longer jellybean shapes. Then I labeled each one after cutting them out.

I next took the white bed sheet and cut it into about 12 x 12 squares with omnigrid and rotary cutter. (omg be careful not to cut off fingers with cutter if you try this T^T)

I then take the pieces of cut out pattern paper, and pin them with needles to the freshly sliced bed sheet squares.

If pins are too bumpy, I just move them around till its pretty flat. =)

I started stitchin stuff up with the sewing machine. Just like driving a car with a peddle controled neeeeedle. :squee:

Don't make stupid mistake of cutting out body parts before you sew it (totally did that with legs =w=)
Make sure to leave a small opening on each limb so you can turn them inside out.

After sewing each body part up, I turned them inside out and smashed them flat with my palms x3

I then took a sharpie and made some cool Yan deets. =D
After I made some Yan look Yannish I fluffed him up with the stuffing fluff.

Okay okay so after he got all fluffy, I sewed up the loose ends at the fluff openings to make him almost complete.


After that I attached by hand each limb with thread and loopy needle to make Yan look complete. =) (needles are kinda scary, I kept pricking my thumbs xD )
