also, the thread was a gift sooo i didn't name it even though i believe it's jimmies!

They are sprinkles to me, though I do get that in some places they are jimmes.

Where I grew up it was mostly Jimmies but once my mom ordered ice cream with jimmies and the kid at the booth looked so confused. He didn't know what she was talking about. She was so taken aback after she asked me if it was a teen euphemism that she wasn't hip enough to know about.

It's actually funny... jimmies are definitely what they're known as where I grew up, too... I just disowned that in favor of sprinkles in my head from a very young age.

It's funny how very insignificant things people still have strong opinions on.

In a sociology class I took, we discussed how people have very strong opinions on how to properly fold a bath towel and how a Christmas tree should be lighted. He asked us to consider these questions and how we would answer, then invited the class to debate... it got....heated.

I imagine the sprinkles vs. jimmies is a similar debate.

i think the most common strong opinion is how to put toilet paper on the roll
