I buy many movies, but not everyone has the money to buy every movie they want. Also, Netflix has a pretty boring selection much of the time.

I'm also the type that likes to watch any movie before I buy it, but I'm also not going to spend an obscene amount on them. Obviously if they didn't make them so expensive then more people would buy them rather than watching them by other means. I don't care that they're that way and I will continue to do so. It has movies you don't see anywhere anymore, too. Not in stores or on Netflix or even on TV.

Meh, they are so expensive because so many people don't buy them... is what I learned in computer class on ethics.

That's what I learned too. If it's not Netflix or Hulu or some other site like those two, it's probably illegal.
Good on you, Maiden for having the restraint.

That's what I'm saying. By raising them they only dig themselves deeper. That is a simple concept to understand. It's the same with products in a store that people steal. But if they honestly didn't have the movies so pricey then people would buy and they'd make their profit. You can say, well people are stealing so they have to raise it, but guess what? Those people stealing will continue to do so, and all you're doing is pushing more of your actual clients away and making more end up pirating. They should make prices more reasonable and then they'd make a hell of a profit.

Congratulations to today's winner, Dystopia:!

Ha! Dystopia made me giggle as soon as I saw this avatar. This friendly dapper gentleman came this close to having his perfect outfit ruined! Poor fella, it's no fun to spend the night scraping pie crust off your favorite jacket and combing cream out of your mustache. Thank goodness that this evening didn't end in disaster.

But the best thing here is that Dystopia didn't just rely on a gag - Look at how well the background and items are layered! That takes some talent and skill to find the perfect combination. A round of applause for your eye to detail.

Great job!

They only raised the prices so that they could afford to pay the staff and crew that keep the production facilities open. Costs a lot to produce... custodians, utilities, writers, technicians...

If so many didn't steal, then the prices wouldn't have gone up in the first place.

It's time for today's Piiick! And it goes tooo OnYourGoat:!

Yowza, why so angry?! While we could assume this is some cave person from our own planet, it loooks kind of... not so much. This is clearly another planet, but it seems to be experiencing the same phenomenon as ours! You can survive little creature! What I really like is the background elements used to create (what I see as) reminiscent of a volcanic eruption. But less focus on that lava stuff, the smoke and ash is where it's at. Very cool! The usually romantic sunset seems less so now and simply more ominous. It's interesting to see how items can change given the context they're in!

Congrats, Goat! See you in the new world?
