Oh my goodness, I didn't mean to be away from the site for so long! I had a guest over and then...I have no idea how, but I just ended up with like...5 cash commissions from Gaia, so I've been busting my ass to get some of those completed... o3o.

Hi Miyu! Honestly, I'll let you in on a secret: getting RL commissions is less about your skills (and don't say you're not "that" good, if the art in your signature is yours, you're plenty good enough to be doing cash work) and more about your marketing and finding a place that wants art!

Also, short-selling yourself is pretty much a given unless you've got a big name in the art world. Precious Flame and HMO and people like that can charge $75-80 for a single waist up piece, but people like you and me would be doing well to get #$25.00 for a full body. (which is what I charge, incidentally)

:3 Gaia is a good place for commissions, it really is. Unfortunately you have to do a lot of gold-item commissions before you can even begin to charge real money *whistles* I've been on Gaia since Halos were out @_@ so people there know me a little...typically, it's friends and friends of said friends that commission me though.

Hi Shellthabunny~ I'm pretty certain with the influx of people hunting down candies that the probability of getting them is a little lower than 15% chance per page. You might just have to start being super active in multiple windows. @_@;;; I just want to get the last item for myself, after that any candies I might get will just be bonus~ :D Good luck!

Ahh...I see. :D I take a while to do my work, but then, I don't mind the pressure. I work pretty well under pressure, so it's all good. XD;;

But you do things at your own pace (as I'm sure you know XD) or it just doesn't work!

@Miyu - Oh, I work full time also X3 And a good portion of my time off is spent doing commissioned work on asian ball jointed dolls and the like, but I still take any extra money I can. :3 I'm trying to save up and clear my debts and just...yeah. I send money home to my mom and help put my little sister through college, so I really just do whatever I can to make more money.
