Well it's not a requirement by any means, just helpful. :) People are free to type however they wish so long as it's not spam (or breaks some other rule).

@plee08: What are you confused about? :) If you read the front page of this thread, it explains how to earn gold. You can play games or post in the forums, among other things.

I have to say that in the majority of the sites I've joined, they've never offered a number of guides so useful as the ones here on Mene, and out of all the ones here, I'd have to say that this is probably one of the most helpful guides I've read. I had noticed when I posted I was earning twenty gold/post, and didn't realize that different amounts were awarded for different length posts. Since I'm prone to longer, more in-depth posts in the first place, this pleases me because it means those of us taking more time in our comments will earn more gold when we post than others, who take less care in leaving messages might receive. This is, in my opinion at least, the way gold awarding should be on any social site such as Mene or Gaia or whatnot, rather than Gaia's random amounts that dwindle as you post more and more throughout the day. I understand that their system is an attempt at keeping members from posting just to earn gold, but it doesn't promote site activity as it should.

I will likely spend a while posting, playing games, and otherwise looking around the shops to see where things are -- ie: cat ears and a cat tail, since that applies to my alter-persona, or, in other terms "fursona". And this guide helps me to understand what exactly I need to do to earn the money I want for items (since I can't very well leave my poor avatar hanging about in her underwear all day long, now can I? Well, I suppose I could, but I'd rather not). In any event, I'm extremely glad you made this guide, and I just wanted to express how thankful I am that you did.

Zenith hit the nail on the head here, and I completely agree with this statement, what with me being from Gaia and all. She's /absolutely/ right, and I believe that having a system of gold-earning that promotes member response and better grammar is a wonderful, wonderful thing. :]

I just joined from Gaia, which admittedly has a lot more ways of earning gold...but makes the inflation terrible.
