That is a brilliant idea Nemo. I have wanted to do this but been waiting on a jar, when I can just use a journal.

Yeah, plus a journal travels so much easier than a jar! I keep it in my purse. :]

January 22nd
I finally got around to making paper stars, I saw someone making them on my birthday last year, and meant to try to make them sooner. All I had to make them with was binder paper, but all in all, I think they turned out pretty cool! :]

23rd January
First day of classes of my second semester down here.

I had my ASL Structure class - a 2 hour and 45 minute seminar in all ASL with no interpterer. It went ok, just long, but interesting.
And then I had a 45 minute break, and then my first US Deaf Culture class, which we only had for an hour but it too is normally a 2 hour 45 minute class. Both will be a lot of reading and writing, but the second class has interpreters (which I wasn't expecting, so that's nice!) Now for my weekend and then classes - 2 of them - on Monday. :]

Which isn't many. Just as long as it's not orange, I should be fine. Hopefully. Oranges (both the fruit and the smell) for some reason has been giving me issues lately. Well for the past few years at least.

Lemons, limes, tangerines, mandarines and grapefruits it is then!

January 24th:
I made a friend who loves pandas - it's a little pouch for her iTouch. :]

I got a package in the mail from hummy, with lots of awesome felt, and with some of that felt, I made a beautiful felt sunflower! <3

And I decided that just having one felt sunflower wasn't enough so I made a second one last night. :]

I got another package from hummy, of more felt! It's the little things that just make me smile!

I think I have seen a pattern for a felt rose. :) I just would have to find a pattern and print it - the sunflowers are nice because all I need is a tape measure and to cut out 18 squares that are 1 3/4 inches, and then 12 squares that are 1 inch, and then two 2 inch circles and one that's slightly smaller, and just sew them all together after cutting the squares into petal shapes and sewing them all together so I don't need a printed pattern. and I don't really know if I'm even making sense.

I really do have fun being crafty and it really does give me a nice little break from school for awhile. :)

I just got back from lunch and I ran into my friend Stephanie, who's in two of my classes with me, and she and I Were having a conversation, in sign, from like 20 feet away from each other. Epic, and I didn't have to take out my ear buds - I was listening to music. :D Can't do with that spoken languages. ;)
