Sounds interesting though. What is it about?

Its the study of people basically. We are going to focus on things that all cultures have in common but differ from region to region. Like language, food, status for men women and children. Stuff like that.

Hello, how has everyone been today? I just got home from workies and since my fiance is working close, it's left overs, so I'll get around to eating when I feel like it!

I was gone for awhile, getting supper ready, and cleaning up.

It does look like there are very few people about today, except for us.

My professor held us a hour longer then we were supposed to be there last night. You just can't do that when the class is supposed to end at 9.

@Mimi: Well like with all other college courses, we study what our professor studied. So we are focusing on the Trobriand Islands of Papua New Guinea. Not what I really want to focus on, but what can you do? :shrug:

Granny, I must say that I am so happy to find another older lady on the site! I'm a late bloomer as far as my kids go - I'm 43 and have an (almost) 11yo and a 3mo. Live in GA, but grew up in CA. I love the pace here and don't plan on returning to CA. Thank you for starting up this thread!

Hello dears! I'm finally back. I've been out shopping all day, and only managed to purchase one thing - a purse.

It was rather humerous. I spent over an hour trying to decide if I should buy it or not, since it was on sale. Normally $48 on sale for $26, so I thought it was a reallly good deal. Finally I decided to get it. When I checked out at the register, it turned out to be only $11! I didn't need to agonize all that much after all. (I should have gone back and gotten the other purse I was looking at as well).

Of course, the husband doesn't understand why I needed a new purse at all.

Hey everyone!
I was at the eye doctors to get a check up.
I bought brand new frames, my optometrist is a family friend and she always w=makes jokes about my old frames, she said the were to "old fashioned" looking for someone my age.
My new ones are more contemporary but still have a classy look to them.

Bad news, my eye sight has gotten worse and I found out without my glasses I'm legally blind.
I used to joke about it but now it really true. Sad.

i'm just unable to survive w/o glasses.

Well, it is quite late right now. I'm having trouble sleeping, so I decided to see if anybody was around.

I see that earlier, Elmira, Dream, and Yuen were on. I suspect that everybody is sleeping right now.

Sleep tight dears - I hope that after I play a little of that "Snake", I'll tire myself out enough to sleep myself!
