AUSSIES WITHOUT HALLOWEEN
THE OFFICIAL SUPPORT GROUP

Finally, a place to meet and discuss all the woes caused by our lack of Halloween with your fellow Aussies

Share your stories of woe and attempted trick or treating, or simply chat about the disadvantages and social isolation this traditional Australian lack of Halloween causes

MY FELLOW AUSSIES
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
WE ALL LONG FOR THAT ONE NIGHT WHEN IT'S ACCEPTABLE TO DRESS UP AND BEG FOR TREATS, OR, IF THAT'S NOT TO YOUR LIKING, PLAY TRICKS ON THOSE YOU DISLIKE

LET US BAND TOGETHER AND EXPRESS OUR DISAPPOINTMENT AT THIS HORRID DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WE CITIZENS OF THIS GREAT LAND

HUZZAH FOR THE AUSTRALIAN'S WITHOUT HALLOWEEN SUPPORT GROUP~!!

As a life long (except that one rather traumatic year) without-halloween'er AND Australia, I feel that not only are we deprived of this most treasured holiday on the candy & face paint lovers calendar but we are isolating our selves from the experience.
Nay.
MAGIC that is this holiday and all the eggings, toilet paperings and sugar induced illnesses that it brings.

Plus I'd like to say I might do some chibis for my fellow Australians, depending on time.
and my falling asleep while watching Simpsons reruns >__>;

foooha.

WHAT!?

You do not get Hallow's Eve in Australia!?

This group of family came from The Netherlands, when I was working. I told them that Halloween is tomorrow and if they were going to be in costume. They told me the baby was, but not them. I was like why not!? You are in America and not in your country. You should at least celebrate because one, you will not have a chance to celebrate it there. And, two, most Adults do go in costume. I guess I changed their minds and they were thinking of buying the Harry Potter hats. XD

I got the family into the Hallow's Eve Spirit. XD

That is why you guys should come to America, just for Hallow's Eve. XD

I will be creepy and answer for all of us
I am in Adelaide
Leeky is in Perth
aaand Glam is near... Sydney or Melbourne? I CAN'T REMEMBER THINGS EITHER SO THERE! XD

there were some people in my area before I moved who trick or treat, they're Americans ^^
I've been trick or treating once but no one at the houses we went to knew what to do, they weren't prepared with adequate sugary goodness!

I would so do that but these darn strings are tying me down here at the moment
plus it's so darn expensive these days

@Leek
Candycorn scares me a little. I don't understand it :gonk:
Is it...corn?
Or candy?
Or corny-candy?
or candy-corn?
MYSTERY TO MEEEE

@Dejagurl
I know. Horrible and unfair xD

@Slowtrain
:gonk:
I know.
I keep getting distracted.
It's all half coloured and sitting in photoshop feeling unloved.
+ I just got my zOMG! access and that's probably going to distract me later.
If my internet works D:

@xsakurahanax
I'm regional NSW.
Out in the middle of nowhere.
(know where Dubbo is? It's 2 hours further inland and south then that~)

@Sakura_Madison
I'd love to go to the Americaland for Halloween :>
Just to see what it's actually like since nothing people do here (even if they did something) would be like it is over there.

@Slowtrain.
WRONG xD
I'm in NSW though.
Just...in the middle. 6 and a half hours from sydney :/

...bah. I'm going to have to go noaw~ D:
BE BACK LATER.
perhaps with candy-foods 8B

Hey Fellow Aussies, and Hello to slowtrain, fellow Adelaidean!

Before we got our new fence with a tall gate, there were a couple of occasions where kids would come to our place trick or treating, I found it amusing. However, I couldn't think of any good tricks and we didn't have any candy or lollies or anything of that sort, so I'd give them fresh or dried fruit.

Ever since we got the fence doesn't happen anymore.

@ Glammy:

You would so like it. Even before that, there are haunted houses to go, theme parks that transform into a scary theme park, with monsters going around.

I just went to the Frightdome at Circus Circus Las Vegas' Adventuredome:

http://www.frightdome.com/

It was great! I got to laugh at the people that came out screaming out of the haunted houses. XD

My sister is having a halloween party? D: But we don't have trick or treating, most of us just use it as an excuse to have a party.. and once we did trick or treat.. they gave us apples. ;____; And muesli bars.
