After the hat sang its song and fell silent again McGonagall spoke with a soft smile. "When I call your name please sit on the stool." she stared listing off names on each person the hat yelled out the house they belonged in.


Soon it was Cal's turn with a deep breath he sat on the stool and waited for the hat to say his house nervous. "Slytherian." It shouted with a grin he hurried to the table.

Miyu watched him go but was kinda sad that she wouldnt be able to talk to him more.Then blinked hearing

Damien smiled."good for him",he said softly

"Good for him." Lori swallowed as her name was called she sat on the seat then took a deep breath. "Gryffindor." there was no hesitation in the decision with a grin she hurried to the table.

Miyu smiled some giving her a thumbs up.Then hearing Damien she smiled at him.

Shiro went up and sat down lissening to the hat talk,before finaly,"GRYFFINDOR",

Lori cheered with her new classmates and waited with her breath held for Miyu's turn.

Damien sat down beside Lori and smiled some and then looked to Miyu nervously.

Miyu sighed as her name was called."Miyu Ambrosius!",she slowly stood as she heard the whispers of a few students."? Then,shes a desendent of Thee Merlin!"

Damien watched Miyu make her way to the front staying silent.

Miyu sat down and kept calm as the sorting hat talked about her being a fit in any house,but debated about Griffindor and Slitherin. Just like the Harry. She glanced towards Gryffindor,then to Slithirin. Finally...."Gryffindor!" Sighing softly she looked towards Cal then went over to Gryffindor and sat down

Lori gave her a hug. "Why did you get to be in this house?" She shook it off. "Doesn't matter know we can be friends."

Miyu smiled some."no idea,but im glad i get to be here"

Damien nodded."me to",he looked towards Slitherin."i don't think you'ed like slitherin too much"

"Well it's not to bad. " Lori frowned. "Merlin was in it and know Cal's there so it can't be bad." she nodded.

Cal watched them from his table frowning a little.

((lol i had a hard time choosing ... lol now i wish i had picked Slitherin...lol oh well ))

Miyu nodded."yeah", seeing Cal frowning a bit she smiled at him happily.

Damien smiled some."i guess ... though I think Miyu being Merlin decedent ,I would have thought that she would have ended up in Slitherin"

Lori fell silent as the headmaster stood. "Lets eat." he called and Lori gasped as food appeared on the table. "Wow." she grinned. "Let's eat." she dug in.

Damien laughed."indeed" he said also digging in

Miyu looked at the food and slowly started to eat

Lori yelped as Sir Nick come out of the plate of chicken she had reached for. "A ghost." she smiled at him. "Nice to meet you."

Damein stared."well noww, this is new"

Miyu smiled at Sir Eric."hey is the food any good"

Lori examined Nick as the other ghosts appeared. "Your nearly headless Nick. Well Sir Nick really nice to meet you. Oh the foods fantastic." She hadn't touched the food piled on her plate.

Damein smiled to Lori."you should eat"

Miyu slowly muched."its great!"

"Hmm? Yeah." Lori started to eat but kept stopping to sip her pumpkin juice. She blinked as suddenly there was nothing but desserts after they had finished there supper. With a sigh of relief she drank the red juice from her new cup.

Damein smiled and looked Lori over for a moment."Lori.after,can we talk?",he asked softly,but sounded like no would not be accepted.

Miyu smiled looking to the deserts."am i allowed to go over to slitherin and speak with Calcifer?"

"Oh no we'll be going to the dorm soon and well house mingling isn't approved especially with Slytherins." A older girl frowned at her. "Plus they are our rivals." she nodded.

"Sure." Lori frowned. "But we can't go anywhere." she leaned towards him then froze and backed away.

Miyu looked to her."but..."she looked towards Cal looking sad then went quite staring at her food.

Damien nodded then looked to Miyu sadly.The to the older girl."so we arnt allowed to talk to them at all?"

"Oh you can in the study hall and after the first day you can go up to them but you should sit with your house." The other girl shrugged. "Shh." she fell silent as the headmaster stood again and addressed the school explain some rules and then with a wave of his hand cleared the tables and sent them to bed. "Alright all first years after me." the girl stood with a boy and waited for them.

Damien sighed in relief,glad for Miyu seeing her light up.'good' he thought softly. Then looked to Lori."great we can see our new liveing area"

Miyu stood and looked to Cal again,but figured he wasn't noticing her ,shrugging and looked to teh older girl."cant wait"

The boy and girl lead the way when they reached the portrait the boy spoke the password. "here we are the Gryffindor common room. The password will change each year and during the holidays depending on how the fat lady is feeling. The boys rooms are to the right and the girls to the left. Breakfast is held in the great hall and from there you will be going to your first classes. You are not allowed after 8 for certain reasons. the staircases change so watch out for that any other questions either Percy or myself can answer or you can ask a teacher. Our head of house is Professor McGonagall who also teaches Transfiguration. Know any questions before we turn in?" the girl asked smiling at them.

Miyu thought a moment then mentaly shook her head.

Damien looked to the two."so at 8 we must be in our rooms?or can we be in the common room?

"You must be in the common room by 8." The girl smiled at him. "unless you have detention or a club activity. If you don't know the password ask either of us or Professor McGonagall. Anything else?"

Lori shook her head blinking a little "Well if that's all you should get some sleep. All your things are already waiting for you." the girl slipped away towards the girls half while Percy went the other way.
