Hi Hummy!
We had a triple feature at the drive-in this weekend.
Shark Night, Fright Night & Conan was the line-up, it wasn't the one we usually go to, but it sounded like a good line-up & our local one was showing the Smurfs. :stare:

Shark Night - in my opinion was just so-so, it could have been much better, not enough story & had a lot of filler.

Fright Night - was good, I think I still like the first one better. When you first see David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) in the movie he looks like Russel Brand, with the tight leather pants, long hair & beard.

Conan - was pretty good, I liked the casting of Ron Perlman as Conan father. I think Rose McGowan did a good job as the witch.

hiya Damia! ~~ i wanted to see 'fright night' so badly but didn't get the chance.
and a triple showing how cool!
was this remake scarier than the first?
because i still got scared from the first 'fright night' *only because vampires really scare me* but it had some comedy to ease the creeps.
it's still a go to see it flick right?
i hope so because i am going to go see it *i hope*.

thanks for letting me know you got to see it ;] .

i can't remember the trailers for 'conan' but i'm sure i'd give it a watch too,
especially to see Dr. who.
'shark night' wouldn't be my cup of tea really. ever since 'jaws' i haven't liked any of those kinds of movies.
though i did like 'deep blue sea'. still got panicie when the shard was after people and things.
"see daddy smilin' ".

Fright Night is worth watching. It wasn't scary enough & it didn't have enough comedy in it, while it did have a nice bit of action. David Tennant's character was a little annoying at the beginning, but by the end of the movie he is alright. I would rather of seen him as a different character, maybe that is the Doctor Who fangirl in me talking. My husband is saying that his Vincent character was Russel Brand (the British actor married to Katy Perry) meets Criss Angel (Mindfreak - magician). Looked & acted like Russel but with Criss Angels job.

Conan is worth seeing at the drive-in, but not worth paying to see in a cinema, wait until it hits the cheap rack at Wal-Mart.
Conan should not talk that much, he was more action & less talking. This was more like Conan got mixed up with Robin Hood, he tries to be too noble.

Shark Night isn't really worth paying to see unless it is with another movie. It had potential but no follow through. The best part of Shark Night was seeing Donal Logue, he was in a sitcom called Grounded for Life.

Damia ~~ i was really hoping 'fright night' would scare me really good!
it probably will but only because i am such a chicken about vampires.
i was downstairs watching some B rated vampire movie all by myself
and upstairs all my realitives were talking, eating and cooking.
a few of my cousins got to talking about what a big chicken i am.
they are all 'oh, she's watching a vampire movie now too!'
so they get this big idea to try and scare me, a few times they failed.
but then when i thought they were tired of teasing me they caught me by surprise.
my oldest cousin bit me on the neck and i almost had a heart attack!
not to mention almost wet my pants.
they laughed about it forever and still to this day they make the vampire face and hiss at me with hands up in the air.
they are awful and i think have a big part in my being so scared of vampire movies.

i am still so excited to see this movie it isn't even funny.
i keep checking the drive-in but it's still 'smurfs' and 'spy kids whatever the *blank*.'
so hopefully it will be there in a few weeks. i thought for sure it would be there during labor day weekend.

I see, I am not quite sure why. But scary movies don't scare me anymore and with most scary movies I can just watch it and know what is gonna happen next even if I haven't seen it.

@ Kukon ~~ i guess i pysch myself up about the scariness.
i am anticipating to be scare therefore i am scared.
but like i said i am a chicken who can't stoop watching them.
even the not really scary ones scare me.
lol, i even scare my kitties when i scream or jump.
so now we are a trio of scaredy cats!

do you still like watching them even though they don't scare you anymore?

@ Kukon ~~ yeah they thought it was hilariously funny and still do.
must be a boy thing, huh?
i was the only girl for awhile so they teased me endlessly.

i have nightmares about the movies i watch too.
like 'paranormal activity' isn't that scary of a movie,
yet i have nightmares about it all the time.
i probably will never watch it again just because of the ending part.
*shivers*
creeps me out.

so what is a scary, horror or thriller type movie you really like and watch over and over again?

I guess it is a boy thing I'm not sure. But like I said, I find some things cute most people don't. Like if a girl is sleepy? Cute.

I don't watch movies over and over, unless I'm really bored. Not a big movie person.

@ Kukon ~~ well that is cute.
=^.^= zzzzzzz
sleeping kitties are cute too.

i know a lot of people don't watch things over and over.
i could watch 'evil dead' over and over.
lol, and i jump at all the same place even if i am 'braced' for it to happen.

Another thing I find cute that people usually don't? When a girl yawns. Like she is tired. Another thing I find cute? When someone blushes.

I would probably watch some movies again if I was bored enough. Such as Return of the Living Dead.

@ Kukon ~~ oh 'night of the living dead' is a good classic movie.
i think i have seen a few different remakes of that one.

have you seen 'zombieland'?
it's more of a comedy but still a pretty good movie.
i love the 'rules'.

Not 'Night of the Living Dead' Return of the Living Dead. It is a comedy horror.

Yes I own ZombieLand, wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. Not as much zombie. I mean it isn't bad, but when a movie is called ZOmbie Land I suspect zombies atleast threw 70% of it.

i would like to watch that movie again as a matter of fact.

@ Kukon ~~ when i lose power i really apprecite the slow internet i have.
i wouldn't know how to act if i could do everything at one time.
i'd probably be downloading things, watching things and chatting and working online.
but then i would forget where i wanted to chat and stuff so it's all good i guess.
