Okay, looks like we're finally at the hour ~ give me just a couple to get the posts fixed up. :)

Not the sort of folks to stand idly by while there's work to be done, our intrepid crew heads off in small groups to search the beach. Find out what befalls each group as you step into their shoes below..

Abandoned Structure

You head towards the Abandoned Structure, excitement growing as you imagine what you might find there. There could be tools, food, clothing - maybe first aid supplies, or stashed treasure of some kind. When you arrive you carefully remove a fallen plank from the remains of the doorway to expose the structure's interior, and find it has been filled with.. wood? Scraps of wooden planks, collected driftwood, large pieces of palm bark have all been loosely piled and (mostly) shielded from the rains. Not quite what you were hoping for, but there's definitely something here that can be used for building or burning.

Beach Edge

The beach edge is the obvious choice for you. What better place to look for salvage than where it naturally washes ashore? Just a short distance from where the group was gathered you see a lumpy something-or-other, and rush over to find Militant Dirty Punk Pants. Hrm.. You probably wouldn't have purchased them in a store, but you figure someone's gonna want to change their pants at some point so you hang onto them.

In Tha Sand!

While everyone else runs around, you stay right where you are and focus your attention on searching in the sand. You're getting strange looks from some of the other survivors, but after about an hour you've managed to find quite a few coins -- 137g worth -- Take that, naysayers!

Over in Those Rocks

Over in those rocks, you spend some time carefully searching nooks and crannies. Despite your thorough attention, your search yields nothing. P.S. You totally broke a nail.

Up in the Palm Trees

Searching up in the palm trees seemed like a good idea, but now that you're actually doing it you experience a slight problem.. These things are really tall! The trunks are too smooth to climb and there's no way you're going to be able to reach the coconuts. You grab a rock from the nearby shore and lob it up there, hoping to knock something down. No luck, and what's worse - the rock clunks your noggin on the way down, giving you a Nasty Forehead Scar.

Mysterious Dark Path

So.. turns out this mysterious dark path is really dark. It's really creepy, too. And it's hard to see anything. You walk slowly, carefully, with your arms outstretched just enough -- your heart is pounding in your ears and all you can think of is how many spiders could be in here right now, watching you. You're trying not to imagine what it would feel like to walk your face into a big sticky spider web, when suddenly there's a cry of pain from out on the beach somewhere and you lose all composure, turning and running out of there as if you are being pursued by all of your darkest nightmares at once.
You didn't find anything, but you're relieved to be out in the light again, and right now that's reward enough.

Around Those Other Trees

You decide to check around those other trees. Turning over bits of bark that have blown down reveals nothing of use, and there isn't much in the way of undergrowth to rifle through. You're about to give up when you see movement from the corner of your eye. You stand tall just as a Green and Yellow Snake plushie falls onto your shoulders! EEEK!!

In the Big Shrubs

Checking in the big shrubs isn't a difficult task, but it isn't particularly exciting either. The foliage is rather uniform and there doesn't seem to be anything hidden among the leaves or underneath the shrubbery. You're not exactly in a hurry to return to the beach for another job, so you take a few minutes to fashion yourself some nice Leaf Cuffs - might as well make the best of it, right?

Pfft. I'm an excellent tree climber! Plus haven't you all seen me in the 'concrete jungle' climbing fire escapes and jumping rooftops? Anyways...
