If one quotes the ping (if it's typed right) - it pings the quoter's friends list.

Nope - it pings your friend list, not the original posters friend list.
It's a naughty ping, you'd think it'd ping the original poster's list - but it just does whatever it wants to do apparently. xD

well that would explain why I have not gotten any pings ;p

It most certainly would hehe.

Inked? Um, i've got that one in the MP at 5k but the average is around 3.5k if you can do that instead?
