Hello there, all you bookworms! If you love to read books and discuss new ones, or just looking for a new book, then this is the place for you! Please remember to respect other people's views on books and don't hate on them. If you wish to debate books, please do so without yelling. Also, for those of you who can draw, I am looking for banners, and I will be hosting a contest for the best banner! But the conversation dosen't have to be limited to books; you can discuss anything that interests you. This is a hangout, after all! So please come in and talk about books and whatever is on your mind!

I love to read too.
I'm currently reading Brisingr from the Eragon series. Pretty good so far.
My favorite genre is fantasy because anything can happen in fantasy and I find fantasy books most interesting or exciting to read.
What's your favorite genre?

I like stories about alternate worlds or timelines best I think, but I read just about anything but romance.
Mysteries are a lot of fun :D

Helloooo! I am most definitely a bookworm. I love pretty much any genre. Mostly scifi or fantasy though.

Satires are nice too.

So, whatcha reading at the moment? I'm just about to start "Jennifer Government" by Max Barry.

Mystery/Fantasy FTW!!!

I like historical fiction too. Like Lisa See's books...

Sarah Dessen is awesome too. And Lemony Snicket. Who's read Sea Legs by: Alex Shearer?

Right now... i'm reading "Going Bovine" by Libba Bray. :D

I love to read as well!

My favourite genres are fantasy and historical-fiction, but I'll read almost anything.

I'm in the process of reading The Scarlet Letter for school. I'm reading The Lovely Bones on the side (so I can see the movie and compare the two) as well as The Secret Life of Bees ... in Spanish!

Unfortunately, I'm almost done with all of them (except for The Secret Life of Bees) and am looking for another book to read - that is, if anyone can recommend one C:

@Fang13 - Are Lisa See's books any good? My mom has a couple, but I'm hesitant to pick them up.

hi everyone! I love to read, too.
My favorite genres are sci-fi and fantasy, but recently i've also gotten into the old detective novels (like The Maltese Falcon).

Hey all, thought i;d pop my head in!

I do love books, but im on a bit of a haitus xD

but books i do enjoy are ancient fiction, especially egyptian, and fantasy's. But i like nicholas sparks books too, theyre mostly about love, with a twist here n there. He wrote the Notebook incase anybody wonders =]

But at the moment, im half way through A fantasy book by raymond E Feist. He's a fantasy writer, and he's amazing, i'm just stuck on a less exciting book by him, i need to get through it so i can on to the next one! xD

Ooh, I'm a bookworm! :) Right now I'm reading the Thief Lord, but I'm almost done.
(Next I'm going to read all of the Narnia books, not just the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the Magician's Nephew. XD)

I can happily say that I am a bookworm. I'm currently trying to read Pride and Prejiduce but I'm totally failing at it. This is the longest it's taken me to read a book in a while. I just can't do it.

Sometimes language can be a bit exhausting. D=

I'm reading a couple of biographies right now, one of William Penn and one of Titian. I lean toward non fiction and essays most of the time, I think. It's hard for me to get excited about fiction.

Dezzy: I wanted to read that, but then all the people I knew who were reading it for school told me it was really boring. Is it just hard to get into?
I saw Pride and Prejudice and Zombies the other day...it said it was the basically the same thing, but something you'd actually want to read. Wasn't that nice of them to say? XD

*pops in and waves hands around* Bookworms! Yay! I'm totally a bookworm. My favorite genres are sci-fi and fantasy. My favorite authors include Joanne Bertin, Mercedes Lackey, Robin McKinley, Stephen King, Anne McCaffrey, and Tamora Peirce. Some books I enjoy reading that aren't included in those authors are any Star Trek book. Yes, I'll admit, I'm a little bit of a Trekkie. Right now I'm re-reading Joanne Bertin's Dragon and Phoenix. It's the second book in her series.

Kaema: Well, Pride and Prejiduce is a good book (I really like the movie too) it's just slow at parts and sometimes I get lost (my friends are also reading it and they get lost at times as well). It's mostly because the majority of the book is long dialogue and at parts where two people are talking and they mention another character that character speaks, but the author doesn't put "blah blah blah said". They go back to the other two characters talking (does that make sense?) It drives me nuts at times. Like I said, it's good and I'd recommend it to some people, but it's just not the best book for everyone despite it being a classic.

Yeah, it makes sense. That sounds like it would get really confusing!
Hm...maybe I'll just watch the movie. :)
