anyone use it before? the American and I decided to start one up for out immigration funds because holy crap it's going to be expensive.

anyways, if you have used it, how did it go? did you like it? pros and cons?

Not used it personally but I have seen others use it and I've seen others use Tilt, Tilt sometimes needs more than one shot at it because it only charges the donors when you reach a certain amount. Gofundme does seem to take some time to get going with donations.

I had a friend who used it to raise funds to return home to Japan, for the first time in 19 years!
It got him there, but I think a lot of the donations were from acquaintances, as he constantly promoted it on FB as well.
I tried it for a few months, didn't get anything.
I guess it depends on how well you promote yourself...

I've never used it, but a dress up game I adore used it to fund for an upgraded version of the game, they were able to raise the roughly $1000 they needed to fund it.

hm, never heard of Tilt but will definitely look into it; it seems like gofundme takes quite a little fee out of it, which is better than nothing, so we raised a little bit so far. We are posting a lot on Facebook, Tumblr and even Twitter, but alas, we are not internet famous enough.
