(Page two woot!)

Cassius gave a wave of his hand, another portal made. He stepped through as the other ran off. A slight smile upon his lips. He had clearly struck a nerve, though he wondered if the other would pick up on the hint he had dropped. He had to admit, though he didn't plan on joining the pack, it had been awhile since he had had anyone to...play with so to speak. He had many people seek him out, either for business or as suitors, but people were to quick to give up or in. In more ways than one to. He could often see through them, or none of them caught much of his attention.

Now playing with an alpha however. That was both dangerous and exciting. He chuckled, back in his room now. He moved to the dresser, where a crystal bottle of a dark amber liquid and a glass sat. He poured himself a drink, before lifting it to his lips. His eyes moved to the window, out to the moon within the sky. Little did he know, the other was doing the same. Both looking at the moon, unaware of the other. Part of him was indeed hoping the other would be back. He was curious just how far the wolf would go to get what he wanted. He was also curious of just what that want entailed.

Turning away from the window, he moved to the bed. He sat the glass down on the table by it, before he tossed his coat at the end of it. He reached up, undoing his vest and tie, before sitting and taking off his shoes. He could have very well gone down to the club. Enjoyed the parties and some company. However, something made him feel less like doing so than normal. He felt a bit more content with a nice relaxing night here, with the moon.

Two day passed, enough time to not appear desperate. Like he chased on his own agenda, not because someone tempted him like a cat on the end of a string. Tage once again stood on the streets of the city. Attending to his pack always cooled his head and indeed, being near that family left him in control once again. Things seemed to progress nicely there. If he did get Cassius to join, no one would openly oppose him. No one would say anything if he spent time researching this fascinating individual who wasn't even pure werewolf in the first place.

So, feeling quite prepared, he crossed the street to a certain club. It wasn't like Tage was opposed to a little fun. His shirt not quite covering his stomach fully and the fur of his jacket feeling dense in the atmosphere, he headed to the bar first. After ordering a drink, he sat and watched the people. In here smelled intoxicating and dizzying in both good and bad ways to his sharp nose. It'd probably been too long since he let loose in human ways. After all, he metabolized too fast to get drunk easily. So why bother?

Still, he found himself relaxed with an easy smile. He didn't have to be alpha here. Anyone could talk to him however they wanted and he might enjoy it. Whether he ran into his target here or not as hoped, he planned to enjoy himself.

Cassius kept himself busy as usual. He didn't chase after the other either, simply giving him the time and space he wanted. He figured when he wanted, he would come. If not, he wasn't that serious to begin with. Either way, it wasn't really on his mind at all. He had a business to run outside of that. The night the other finally came to his club, it was active as usual. People all around. The music was loud enough that people could hear it and those who didn't want to be heard wernt. It wasn't to loud though, to give simply an ear splitting headache.

Lights pulsing, moving and flashing within the otherwise dark place gave an air of excitement and mystery. People were drinking, dancing, talking and more. Every direction a new sight and smell, everyone having a good time. There were more private rooms, that could silence the music. The way upstairs blocked with magic unless those wishing to enter were given permission. Cassius was in his usual booth, leaning back against the black leather couch as people were around him. He wore dark jeans, his coat on, with the hood just up enough to frame his face.

The front open a bit, to show just enough skin within the light. He was well aware of the other within his club, it was his domain after all. He didn't even glance over for the moment though, his black boots resting on the low table before him. He lifts his glass to his lips, taking a sip as he reached up to brush a stray strand of hair back into place. Seemed the little wolf had come back just as he thought he would. He chuckled lightly under his breath, perhaps this would be fun.

Before he finished his first drink, someone approached him, wanting a dance. Tage figured even at a place like this, he stood out because of his hair color at the least. Not that he minded one bit. Downing the rest of his drink, he slipped away to get lost among the other clubbers. He danced with both men and women--anyone who would mingle with him, and that was pretty much everyone dancing. With his head thrown back and his hair clinging to his neck, he looked every bit lost to the atmosphere. No tension existed within him.

Of course once he started to sort through the smells of the club, he picked out a familiar one. Tage made no move to approach him immediately though. Only when he danced to his content and ordered another drink did he angle his way to the booth. Cassius didn't look wanting for company, but he didn't pay the least bit of attention to them. Tage only had eyes for that one man once he zeroed in. Leaning both elbows against the back of the booth, he leaned forward with a grin.

"Fancy meeting you here." He trailed a finger along the hood's edge, contemplating pushing it back so he could look at all the fascinating hair that lay beneath. "You dance?"

Cassius could see the other at times, glimpse him through the crowd. He seemed to be popular enough, gaining attention from some who wanted a dance and possibly more. For a man who spoke of being wild and free, there he was dancing with the others and enjoying himself. He smiled a bit, it was a bit amusing. He was glad that the other was getting to see a few of the perks of being here within this world. There was no harm in a little fun. The other was soon approaching him, he could feel and smell him just the same. He lifted the glass he held to his lips, taking another sip as the man leaned against the back of the booth he was in.

Slight glances and looks were sent in the direction of the intruder. He heard his words, before he felt the finger moving along the edge of his hood. He remained still, curious of what the other would do, before he heard his question. It wasn't about joining him or anything of the like, it was about..dancing. For a moment he did not move or speak, before slowly sitting his glass down. "Yes, I do occasionally...with the right partner" he spoke, not turning to look at the other. It was not a defiant no, but not a direct yes. If the other wished to be that close with him upon the dance floor, he wanted to hear the direct invitation.

He did give a light playful smile, curious a bit of why the other was so curious seeming of all this, yet so persistent to stay away. He could see the allures of peace and quiet, the place just for oneself and family. At times he desired to get away from it all to, while others he did not want to be anywhere else.

Tage smiled, lazy and just a little animalistic, like the wildness in him lay closer to the surface than usual. Maybe he missed this more than he thought, but he believed in balance between the human and wolf. Some might call it a strange teaching, but his pack was the strongest in the area, so who could really criticize it. He pulled his finger away, but didn't back away a step. He just stood there with his arms crossed against the seat back.

"Is that so? Then how would I be for a partner?" he asked. Though his tone commanded, it was different from usual. This was just his confidence talking. He wanted the other man as his dance partner and didn't expect no for an answer. He however, demanded nothing of him. The current song winded itself toward the end, the steady beat pulling at him. Tage offered his hand with the same smile. "Dance with me." Maybe later he could convince this man to join the pack. Now, he needed to convince him that Tage was interesting enough to follow. And really, he just couldn't think of anyone he more wanted to dance with right now.

He could feel the other close enough, he didn't have to look to feel that smile of his and his eyes. He made no sudden movements for the moment, which Cassius supposed was a good sign. He wasn't outwardly pushing right away with the whole 'join us' thing. Cassius knew better than to think he'd simply given up though. After all, he had come here for a reason beyond just dancing. He spoke once more, inquiring about his own suitableness for partnership. He listened to the sound of the music changing around them. It wasn't really a slow song, but it was definitely a song that made pairs dance closer and more aware of one another. The other offered his hand to him, asking for him to dance. A few of the people he was with shot the other looks. They knew few dared to ask him outright like that. He was highly sought after, but most knew that he was far out of their league. He wasn't arrogant about it, he actually was the opposite. Though he did hold himself to high standards, he wasn't cocky about it, more modest in some ways.

He looked at the hand the other offered. It had been awhile since he had danced, no one bold enough to ask, especially with others around. He chuckled, lifting a hand to take the other's. "Lets see if you can keep up..." he said, before standing. He pulled the other around the couch, backing towards the dance floor. He didn't hesitate to pull him close, their chests brushing for a moment, his eyes on the other's. He didn't look away, even for a moment. The lights flashing around them, but it was already like the rest of the club was fading away. Where would the other place his hands? Would he be so bold to try something right away, or continue this playing it cool aspect... He wondered for a moment, if the other would attempt to take charge. It was most likely, since he had the alpha thing going on. To let himself be led or directed, would most likely push his buttons. Buttons, that Cassius was more than happy to tease.

A flurry of excitement went through Tage when the other man took his hand. They swept toward the dance floor and he couldn't help but grin with superiority at the other people at the booth. No doubt, they also wanted this chance, but they didn't ask. He won a dance and didn't feel the least bit swayed by those looks, but rather encouraged. "Keep up? I think I can do more than that," he responded, still smiling.

As they started to dance, the space between them shrank to the point it didn't exist. Every move left skin brushing against skin. All of Tage's senses sparked with awareness. He felt alive with it, filled with electricity because of the other man, though almost anyone would produce the same effect so close in a situation like that. Almost anyone. This man did it better than most. Without thinking, one hand came to rest on the other's hip, but he just used it to stay close. He made no move to take the lead or give it up. At a time like this, he didn't think about alpha or not, just closeness. He used his other hand to wrap around Cassius' back, gripping his shirt there.

He chuckled at the other's words, allowing him to move close as well, as they began to dance. He could all but feel the signals coming from the other, it did not take a genius to see he was liking their confined spacing. He smiled a bit, feeling his hand moving to his hip. So, he was comfortable with it there, that was fine with him. The other moved around him, holding on to the back of him a bit. Seemed the other was determined to keep their distance small. That was fine with him, he had no intention of going anywhere as the music swirled around them. One of his hands lightly slid up his chest, to rest on the side of the other's neck.

"You do know how to make an impression hmm?" he teased a bit, noting himself the way the others were regarding him as they had moved away. He didn't mind himself, it was their choice not to ask after all. His other hand rested lightly on the other's inner right side, relaxed in nature. If the other wanted to keep him close, he would oblige for now. He was amused himself after all, curious of what tempting the two of them would result in in the end. His eyes remaining on the other, they had a slight glow to them within the moments of catching the light that passed over the two of them. He slid the hand that was on the side of his neck back down to a position parallel of that of his other.

In turn, he leaned in lightly, placing his mouth closer to the other's ear for a moment. "Makes me wonder if your not getting a little possessive already" he whispered in his ear, a hint of flirtation among the teasing words. His breath warm against the skin of the other's neck and ear as the words left him, the closeness succeeding in darkening the looks from some others within the club. Cassius was not to aware of them, nor did he care. At the moment, the only thing he was interested in, was the person so close to him. It wasn't everyday someone was so persistent to put them in situations where he could push their buttons in a more playful and intimate manner. Being a more passionate, relaxed and open kind of man, it bored Cassius to have no one to play with at times.

Tage chuckled low in his throat and if not for their closeness, he doubted the other man would hear him. Not that it mattered either way. He received a reaction better than he hoped for even if he never thought any of this out. The other man mirrored his desire to be close and Tage felt each touch like a promise of more. Normally he only got this hyper aware on days of the full moon. It made him want to laugh with exhilaration and amusement. To think a single person could rile him up to this degree. He fervently hoped he gave off the same effect.

"I'd hate if I wasn't making an impression," he teased back. "But is it you I'm making it on? I don't care about the others, so you best be looking at me." He played his fingers along the other man's back, continuing his tease, but with a hint more of seriousness. As Cassius leaned in, whispering in his ear, he smiled again. Maybe he was getting possessive. He already marked this man as a target and wolves could be a real persistent bunch. Possessive. Yes, that was one trait along with lust, for blood and otherwise, that seemed to mark their kind. A werewolf wasn't really that much different.

"If I was possessive, what would you do about it?" he asked, not minding when the song ended and another with the same kind of beat started. He was aware of the eyes on him, but they didn't matter. "You already know that I want you." He left that statement open, not specifying just what sort of want he spoke of. Because really, it all blurred together in the end.

The other chuckled, seemed he was amused as well. He focused on the moment, watching and feeling his body language and movements. He spoke, the words making a slight smile form upon his lips. The other inquiring who the impression was on, as well as the hope that Cassius' attention was on him. It was indeed amusing, he didn't jump right away to answer him. He felt the fingers move over his back, aware of how low they might be travelling. He seemed to enjoy the feel of Cassius close, and he had to admit to himself, that he did not mind the feeling of the other close either.

He spoke once more, which made Cassius pause for a moment. What would he do about it? Yes, he knew the other wanted him, but the hinting behind that open statement left things a bit...He closed his eyes for a moment. "Hmm...well, you should remember that I don't simply roll over for anyone" he smiled, "no matter how charming they might like to come across." He chuckled a bit, pulling back a bit so their eyes met once more as he opened them. "Perhaps I desire to turn it around...Maybe you will be mine in the end" he teased. In all honesty though, he had no real desire to chase after or claim ownership over anyone.

What would he do once he had? The music had shifted a bit and that was fine with him. His eyes on the man before him. "You don't really think I'm going to make it that easy for you" he gently placed a finger under his chin, leading him a bit closer to his own face. Their mouths mere centimeters away, "what fun would it be if I just let you have what you want. Besides..I do have class and my standards." With that he slipped away, passing by him with a smile and breaking their close contact with one another. Instead of heading immediately back to his table, he stepped back towards the private rooms. He had one on this floor, to which he could use the space and a drink.

Tage met his eye when he pulled back, though he missed the closeness of their contact. Still, that smile made it worth it even if the others words continued to challenge him, or perhaps because they did. "I have no intentions of forgetting that...no matter how charming I might be. But that's fine," he said. Despite the fact that he'd been teased, his own answer was quite sure, only holding a hint of playfulness on top of what were quite serious words. To chase or be chased. He didn't hesitate to admit he didn't mind at least in a surrounding like this. He might answer differently at his home, but right now he answered honestly.

Something seemed to have shifted and Tage noticed even before Cassius spoke again. "I'm not going to make it easy for you either," he whispered back even as the other broke contact with him. Just like, he was left alone on the dance floor with the other man's touch still warm against his chin, the possibility of a kiss left haunting his mind. "Definitely not easy."

For a minute, he just stood there caught between wanting to purr and grind his teeth together. What fun they had and what they almost had warred before he decided he didn't mind. It was fun this way and Tage shook his head. The other could run away if he wanted for now, hiding behind private room doors, but Tage would return. After all, he didn't really come to the club for this reason. He thought he made a good impression for now though. He returned to the bar for another few drinks and left some time later when the night called to him loud enough for him to listen. He didn't dance with a single other person in that time though. Because really, why bother?

He was not forcing the other to pull away, he did run the place after all, so he could have allowed the other in. Though for the moment, to much contact might lead to something else, so he allowed the distance between them. He made himself a drink, downing it quickly. The bitter taste upon his tongue bringing him back to reality. He smiled a bit, trailing a finger along the rim of the glass. His eyes upon the door, for a moment part of him hoped he would follow. He sat upon the couch within the room, getting his mind straightened out. This was a dangerous game indeed, despite how fun and amusing it might be. One of them might end up angry or hurt in the end.

The other was so set on having him, it was clear his wolfish tendencies would not allow him to give up easily. But could that be all there was to it? It was still early on, so there was no rush to figure any of it out for now. He enjoyed the rest of his own night, enjoying a few more drinks and conversations with those who came to see him in his room. Eventually, he decided to come see who was left, but the other was going. He watched him leave, a slight smirk lingering on his lips. He moved up to his room, retiring for the night earlier than probably usual for him. Though he had had his fun, and he needed rest for the next stage.

The next few days passed in their own whirl of pack time, researching, and nightly runs. The pull of the moon was getting stronger, making it harder to spend a full night inside in human form. The wolf wanted out, feeling the full moon coming. It left everyone full of anxious excitement as Tage readied the lodge for the return of all his pack for the full moon. Even those that rarely connected with the pack, came for the full moon. It was safer that way.

For good measure, Tage also left another invitation for Cassius to join them at the time where they must all take their beastly form. He would have left the invitation in person, but seemed to have missed the other man and though it would be in character to stalk him across the city for it, a little mystery also had its charms. A hand written note slipped under the door might work better at this point considering how easily the other man continued to rebuff him. Still, Tage had hopes. They were making progress and that was all that mattered now. After all, he was in no hurry to win anyone over to his side.

So, late afternoon before the full moon, Tage paced through the lodge's interior, greeting each new wolf that returned to him, seeing to new pups and old friends. But the entire time, he waited to see if the one he so fervently chased after could resist the allure of a pack on a full moon.

Cassius kept his days busy with work and other things. He traveled a bit, having to keep up with business that went on outside of his dwellings. However, travelling was a bit dangerous at times to. Nothing he could not handle, but it was a threat that lingered. He arrived home soon enough, obtaining the note that was left for him by the other. Raising a brow, he flipped open the envelope and slipped out the note that laid beyond. He glanced over the written message, before taking a breath. Ah yes, the full moon was coming up. The other wanted him to come. Why had he not bothered to come himself? Cassius raised a brow, was he hoping that it would tempt him more? He had a handle on the wolf within, magic and more to keep him safe if need be within the night.

Though he did not wish to be rude. Though being an outsider on a night where all went pure wolf was dangerous to. What if instinct took over to much as it typically did. The others not to sure about him already, it would not take much to push them over the edge to attack him like that. Would this man even help or do anything if they did? Perhaps that was his game all along? Get him in a vulnerable position and then end him. He did not truly think the other was so cold or underhanded. Though without knowing for sure, this was taking a risk indeed. He picked up his coat, he could at least stop by before the moon, even if he did not plan to stay fully. Heading out and down the stairs, he had one more thing to do before he went. Although, as he stepped outside, he paused. Something felt off.

He raised a hand, as a dagger flew towards him in the air. It froze inches from his head, the worlock frowning. It seemed the others had moved up a hit on him. It shouldn't take to long.... That was his thought before the growl. He turned to see two large wolves standing down the alley. A sigh left his lips, great...so much for a peaceful full moon.

They all felt it the second the sun went below the horizon. It was like electricity, a shiver that went down his spine. Conversation ceased for just a second and everyone's face showed it. They felt this same energy and need. Tage stepped farther away from the lodge, not saying a word, just turning his eyes up to the twilight sky. So far, almost every wolf in his pack gathered. Some farther away, out in the trees, but he felt them, ready for the night. He tried to ignore the fact that Cassius did not stand among those gathered, but perhaps he would join in in the midst of the run as many wolves did. It wasn't an organized thing. Rather, the full moon meant freedom.

Without bothering to fight the need, Tage let his wolf form burst out. It was early; he still hoped to meet many more tonight, but there was no point in holding back. He let out a howl that resisted any need to feel anxious. What would happen would. One by one, the others dropped into their wolf forms and took up the howl. No doubt even in the city, sharp ears would hear the call, one last entreaty to join the run, all who were able. Tage didn't know why some he invited did not show. A part of him might worry or feel curious at another time, but those instincts were pushed down now.

He took the lead, running into the trees. The pack spread out behind him, each taking to the run. No one in lead, no one left behind. It was just running to run and that's how Tage liked it. If Cassius came, he would see that this sort of freedom also had its own charm. And maybe then, they could stand on equal foot.

Cassius took a step back, as the light began to fade. Already, the wolves were growling and slowly approaching him. He still did not know where the other attack had come from either. It was a threat that put him on edge on both sides. With this happening, there was no way he could simply stay here and risk a fight in his home. Not only that, he could not simply go off and lead this to the other's home and pack either. He gave a sigh, what a pain in the ass. Seemed he was going to have to do this the old fashioned way. Another shot moved to his ears, he held up a hand to block it as well. One of the wolves took the opportunity. Diving at him, while the second charged forward to follow. He clenched his jaw, sidestepping the first, and raising a hand to block the second.

It crashed against the shield, jaws snapping at him. Holding back a full grown werewolf in pure wolf form was like trying to stop a tank. The pressure on his shield reflected back up his arm and through him. The other circling around, he knew it was looking for a way in. He had fought plenty of creatures in his day, but wolves often the most stubborn and difficult. Giving up was not an option for them. Especially on a night like tonight, the full moon, when they were at their strongest. His eyes flickered to the growing orb in the sky. Even he could feel the twinge deep within him, for having such a good hold on his wolfish side. Perhaps that was what he needed for now. To get out of here, away from the city. To let it out. The other would probably be amused to hear him think this. Having been pushing for him to let his inner wolf out.

Distracted for a moment, the first wolf dove at him again. He came back just in time to step back. Claws grazed his shirt, tearing the side and scratching his side. He hissed, the wound not deep, but enough to bring about blood. Fine, they wished to play like animals... His eyes within the darkening sky began to glow yellow. He raised a hand, releasing a small orb of light, that soon released a lot more like that of a flash grenade. It gave the needed distraction, he turned, allowing the wolf to surface. A fluid movement, natural yet still a rush. He could feel his body morph, practice made it now almost instant and non painful. His half man half wolf form would do little right now. He needed the pure speed. For that, he went full wolf. His coloring more like that of a siberian husky. Black and white, meant more to symbolize the good and dark magic within him. Smokey blue gray eyes once more flashed yellow.

With that, he was off. Powerful leg muscles already working beneath him. Pushing against the ground with a quick effortless style that almost felt like flying. The yelps of the other two in his ears, before they were following. His ears twitched a bit, catching the sound of a far off howl. He didn't need to be face to face to know who it was. He had a pretty good idea. He pushed himself, making his way through the streets quickly. People glancing, but no one had a full idea of what was going on. And just like that, he was breaking out of the city near the trees. The other two wolves growling and chasing after, one gave a howl of its own. Not a peaceful one on such a night, a howl of a wolf on the hunt for one purpose, to kill.

As Tage ran, he couldn't help a shiver that went through is body. Like this, all his senses were hyper sensitive, like he could sense things just from the air. He didn't need eyes, ears, or nose to sense anything. It was like those senses pressed against his body and made themselves aware. It was because of this that an overwhelming sense of offness continued to afront him. He couldn't even say just what gave him this impression. The trees were his trees, the wolves running through the trees weren't aggressive, the sky overhead was filled with moon. All of these things were as they should be. And yet, a weird magic left his fur on edge. Watching the other wolves, he knew some of them felt it as well. It was more than the magic of the full moon. Something went on in their territory and on this night, they were most capable to do something about it.

Making an abrupt turn, Tage broke his own rule and ran toward the edge of the forest. Not so much with full intention to start something, but he had a readiness for it in mind. He knew wolves in this state were more dangerous to themselves and others under the moon's influence so he kept the peace by keeping to the mountains and forests. Now though, the wolf part of him wanted more than anything to break the peace. That's when he heard the howl.

It was a strange one very distant from here that didn't belong to his pack. The intention in that howl though spoke clear enough. And Tage did not approve. Running up a natural ledge, he let himself reach toward the tops of the trees. Other wolves, the ones closest to him emotionally and just physically at the time of his change of direction, crowded around the rock's base. Tage lifted his head to the sky to answer the howl with equal violence and warning. This was his territory and those not welcome would be persecuted. He had no idea what was going on or who was being hunted, but that didn't matter. He wouldn't allow it. If the other wolves did not back down, he was more than prepared to hunt them back.

He noted the sound of the other howl on the heels of the first. He recognized the voice behind the other's howl. He really would have preferred to keep him out of it, but these were his woods. Perhaps it might be useful after all. He kept his eyes ahead of him, while the others were a ways back but hot on his trail. His fur bristling a bit on the back of his neck and down his shoulders, he really didn't have much of a choice. He lifted his own head, before letting his own voice add to the night air. Being a man of magic, his howl was a bit different he had been told, than a normal wolf. He had been told it had a slightly harmonious musical tone to it. One that might send chills through an unsuspecting listener.

The howl was in no way hostile, really more of a simple alert to his presence. He was well aware, that it wasn't just the other who might be able to hear it however. The snarl from behind him were proof of that. The two would not be giving up any time soon. He turned his head to glance back, he could not run forever either. He would need to make a stand soon enough. All three parties would be growing exhausted. He would need his energy if he chose to take a more magical approach to things once this little race was over. Rising up before them as if on cue, was a large rock face. He was beginning to come upon a more hill like terrain, with the mountains in the distance.

He slid to a halt before the base, having the option of going left or right. The two following him though had other ideas. They spread out a bit, closing in from either side. They were trying to box him in. He turned to face them, seeing both bearing their teeth at him. If he could have smirked as a wolf, he would have. A bit of excitement running through him, despite the danger. He had not been in a straight out fight in a long time. Perhaps it was time to give his wolfish exterior a workout. He still had an advantage in his magic, so if all else failed, he could handle this as such.

Tage heard the familiar howl, an alert that seemed to say, 'I'm here'. It left a buzz going through him. The entire night was full of enough electricity without hearing a sound like that, so full of magic, and wolf, and other. The wolves around him seemed too electrified by the energy too to mind its unusual quality. The full moon left everyone itching for a fight even when they didn't need it. This time, Tage he no intention of restraining that desire in anyone tonight, least of all himself. He continued to run toward the other wolves, the distance between them quickly narrowing.

All of a sudden, the ground opened up beneath him and he saw trees far below, the edge of rock face creating a cliff below him. The drop was too far for just a jump even for werewolves like them, but as he burst up to the edge, wolf smell strong in his nose, he saw the tree wolves there at the bottom. One he knew. The other two edged closer, Tage obviously having run into a situation that had already started. He didn't have the whole pack behind him, but he also knew he had enough to give pause.

Staring down the enemy wolves, he snarled. Now was not the time to test him, though he also felt a sense of curiosity deep beneath the wolf's desires, to see just what Cassius could do. He had no doubt it would be glorious to witness.

He watched the pair, ready himself to take action. However, the scent and snarl from above him, caused him to turn his head. Above was the other, he knew his scent as well, even in this form. The other two glancing up as well to the alpha. Perhaps they should have paused, known better than to attempt something now that there were others there. However, their target was clear. They might not get another chance at this rate, now that someone knew that they were after him.

Thus, one of the pair made a move forward. Ignoring the other above them, it made a move towards Cassius. Cassius turned his head back, catching sight of it moving on him. He tensed, the muscles of his wolfish form tightening. He lowered his form a bit, closer towards the ground. The other snarled up at Tage, as if daring him, despite his apparent warning against such. They were not about to leave without a fight. They as well felt the weight of the moon above, so simple reasoning was a low chance of success.

They would not give up without confrontation. Cassius knew this, as he moved to the side a bit as jaws made an attempt to clasp around him. He needed to keep his own mind about him, losing it would risk losing the fight. One of the reasons, he was thankful that he did have so much time under his belt. He was adapt to this, but it was harder upon the time of the full moon. Especially with the heat of a fight, would the other assist? He could not be sure, the other might hold back. However, if his desire was strong, Cassius had a hint he might not be able to stand back for long.

The fight didn't stop, it barely even paused at the alpha wolf's warning. As Tage watched, one of the enemy wolves jumped forward in an attack as the other challenged him, him. Like anything good could come from such a thing. Tage lost his cool, or whatever was left of it at this point. Backing up, he measured the distance down to the ground in his head. Even one low whine to his left didn't stop him. Apparently one wolf in his party held onto some logic, but the rest bristled more than ready for a fight.

With one half yelp, half how, he charged forward toward the lowest edge of the cliff and kicked off. Paws scrabbled against the rocky surface, keeping him propelling forward until he his the ground, teeth bared and ears low. He could feel the stings and aches, but they only added to his fury somehow. Pain, passion, they were all the same right now. He tried to play the curious watcher but in truth, he desired to be in the thick of this fight too much. The others stayed back though, only their howls edging him on now.

Tage glance toward Cassius, finding him engaged still many yards away. Instead, he turned his eyes toward the other wolf who taunted him first. He didn't think anyone would mind if he joined the fight and made it an equal two on two, so he stalked forward, pairing off against the wolf who circled, trying to keep Tage in front of him. A heart beat later, Tage charged him.

Cassius was aware of the quarrel going on beside his own. It was his main focus however, not to get bitten in two in the process. He noted the sound of more movement however, turning his head for a moment to catch sight of the other now on even ground with him. Here he thought the other was simply going to watch, now he was going to get his paws dirty. Cassius shook his head, before noting movement directed at him this time.

He took a slight hop back, as the wolf after him took a launch forward, in attempts to damage him. He growled a bit, this was beginning to try on his patience. The fur on the back of his neck bristled, a slight light began to form from underneath it. The magical markings that ran over his wolf form were responding to him. He was annoyed and ready to get this over with quickly. Magic would be the easiest road out, but with now the others on top of it, he was even more hesitant than simply desiring to show what his wolf form was made of.

The wolf lunged again, this time he followed. Moving to the side out of its reach, he then moved in himself, sinking fangs into the side of the other's neck. He heard the yelp from the wolf, who began to struggle. He refused to give up or in, holding on tighter. A paw swiped at him, he repositioned himself to avoid the nails within.

Tage swiped to the side, missing an attack from the other wolf. He'd charged first, caught the other offguard, but even as an alpha, he wasn't outmatching his enemy by much. It was probably stupid to jump into someone else's fight, but the full moon made such thoughts impossible. Once his jaws drew blood from the other's shoulder, that was it. He was as enraged and full of blood lust as his enemy and couldn't back away even if a hundred other wolves dragged him.

'Come closer. Let me taste your blood again,' he taunted in his head, the threat clear in his eyes. They crashed together again, this time claws raking down his side before Tage forced the other down to the ground with his jaws at the other's throat. He was getting battered, but he was going to win this fight. They should knew better than to hunt on his territory during a full moon. This was his land, his wolves, his Cassius to talk and hunt and be hunted by. He couldn't even care less.

He felt the wolf he'd been fighting weaken, the snapping of its jaw turning both slack and desperate at the same time. Easing back, Tage tested it before letting his beaten enemy loose. For a second, he felt the desire to snap the creature's neck, but then he remembered. Now it looked him in the eyes, trying to decide if it could run. Tage would let it if it did. For him, the fight was over.

The movements to and fro, it seemed the opposing pairs were weighing their options to stay or flee. Seeing them, and looking up at the pack beyond, they eventually opted to turn and run for now. Cassius was thankful to see them go. He was not injured really, though he doubted it would be that easy to end this all. They would be back in some way or another. For now though, it was over, the other had assisted him. He turned his head for a moment to catch sight of him. Seeing him standing there.

He did not really feel surprised to see him there, that he had come to his aid. He was grateful in a sense though, and he figured he would owe the other some sort of thanks for his assistance. He wasn't crude after all. He could feel the eyes of the others upon him, bristling at him a bit. Who he was was not hidden fully, his scent and markings would clearly give him away as more than a simple wolf. He watched the other still, curious of how he would choose to advance now that the threat had fled.
