Do you ever listen to songs and wonder, "What is this person even TRYING to say?" For example, I'm listening to Lorde's "400 Lux", and the lyrics are:

Now we're wearing long sleeves and the heating comes on
(You buy me orange juice)
We're getting good at this
Dreams of clean teeth

And I have to wonder, what does that even mean? What image is Lorde trying to convey?

Yeah, in the context of the whole song, it's definitely about dating. But it might have something to do with orange juice tasting disgusting if you have just brushed your teeth?

Revved up like a deuce is a line from 'Blinded By the Light', not 'Benny & the Jets'. The first is by Bruce Springsteen, but made most popular by the Manfred Mann Earth Band cover in the 70s; the latter is an Elton John tune.

They are both pretty nonsensical though.
