The world of Armana, is one of prosperity and beauty. Much of the land is covered in healthy, lush plant and animal life. It is rumored that the world was created long ago, during the battle of legendary beasts that have now become known as guardians. It is unknown where guardians come from, most believe they come from the heavens and the stars. It is believed that they have been around since time began. They would get into large battles, since guardians are split into kingdoms based on their types. The various kingdoms do not tend to get along, some less than others. The guardian types are: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Nature, Metal, Ghost, Psychic, Electric, Ice, Fairy, Dragon, Light and Dark. Each kingdom had their own strengths and weakness, some worked together, while others sought to destroy eachother.

Each kingdom was led by a Monarch, the strongest of their type, that was able to summon the combined power of their type and held the true power that laid within. Stories of what happened have been passed down from generation to generation. Much of it is rumor and speculation now, and has passed into legend. It is rumored that due to the fightings, the Monarchs rose up to stop it, in result sacrificing themselves to create a state of peace. Their power slipped into slumber, leaving behind a young planet as a sort of seed. The guardians took it upon themselves to look after the world, to watch over it and help it grow. Each kingdom was given their hand within the shaping of the world. As they did so, life began to thrive. First in the form of plants and animals, then soon in the form of mankind.

As mankind grew, conflict between them did as well. Not only that, tensions between the kingdoms of the guardians once more began to grow as well. In order to settle these battles, and give mankind the power to protect themselves and eachother, guardians were said to come from the heavens. Each guardian would choose a human partner, to grace them with their power. A guardian and human would form a sort of contract, in which a mark would appear somewhere on the humans body to signal them as one with a guardian. These humans and guardians would battle together as equals and partners. But once again, things began to slip into unbalance. For there were always those who wanted to use the guardian's powers for evil or to take over.

Mankind continued to evolve, they began setting up rules and boundaries about battles including guardians. It was deemed that series of stadiums would be set up around the world in order for just and fair battles to commence. At the same time, an organization that would later become known as the GBA was set up. The Guardian Battle Assosiation, took it upon itself to not only regulate battles, but to keep the peace between humans, guardians, and those who were blessed with partners and contracts. In a sense, over the years they became the guardian police of the world. Battles evolved from those that could occur everyday, to those that were held as special tournaments and competitions.

The world found a state of peace and harmony once more, and one of joy and excitement though the use of battles and living alongside these guardians. However, darkness and evil has always lived along the edges and within, since nothing can always be perfect. There are those who wish to use the power of the guardians in order to claim the world and possibly more....And now....in the new age...it is rumored that guardians have been surfacing that share the names and the forms of the Monarchs that disappeared long ago. How will the darkness deal with this? How will the world, and those who battle with them? A shift is on the horizon, one that could mean either a glorious future, or a destructive end for the world.

Armana:

Armana is much like the world of Earth we call home. The land has various areas that have various climates and natural things such as: Deserts, volcanos, icefields, grassy planes and more. There are also large cities and very small villages or towns spread out all over it. There are some ruins that give hints into the past and the guardians, that scientists study all the time. The world itself is inhabited by humans, and many of the plant and animal species that we have on our own planet. Guardians are not of the planet, not origionating there, so they can not just be randomly run into. They are used in many of the worlds working, living alongside their human partners. Though they are there, at the same time they are fairly rare. Many humans do not have guardians themselves, but they enjoy watching battles from those who do. It is assumed that only about one fourth of the population at any given time has access to a guardian. Some are passed down through families, others are earned by their partners. Various areas off the world are known for various things, such as they are within our world. Just like in our world as well, there are good and evil people. There are those that want to learn about the guardians and advance the world, and there are those who wish to get rid of the guardians, or use their powers for darkness. Though the world in many ways can seem fairly primative, at the same time much of it is technologically advanced as well.


Guardians:

Guardians are creatures that are believed to be from the heavens or the stars. They appear one day, showing themselves to a human only after they prove themslves worthy to be deemed said guardian's partner. The guardian will then form a contract with the human, in which a mark appears somewhere on their bodies. When not in use, the guardian takes the form of energy, residing inside of their host's body through the mark and able to go anywhere with them. When summoned, the contract mark will glow and the human releases the energy, allowing the guardian to take on a tangable form. The guardian is only as strong as its human, their heart and will. Once a guardian is defeated or runs out of energy, it will return to energy form, to be reabsorbed into the body of its host and partner, and can not be summoned for a time after that as it regenerates its energy. Guardians are used for a variety of reasons, from construction and everyday use, to peace keepers with the police. Their most popular use is in battles to test the strength of guardians and humans, pushing their limits and allowing them to get stronger and closer. The GBA hosts battles and tournaments around the world, as well as have a military hand in keeping peace within the world. Guardians are split up into types: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Nature, Metal, Ghost, Psychic, Electric, Ice, Fairy, Dragon, Light and Dark. Each type has their own strengths, weakness' and abilities. There are arenas set up all over the world, and some battles happen just out in the open, though those in public places such a towns are frowned upon due to damage. Guardians themselves are shrouded in mystery and wonder, but they are being studied and learned about more and more every day. The Monarchs are depicted in statues and shrines all over the world.


GBA:

The Guardian Battle Assosiation, is an organization that can trace its roots back years within the world. They have incoorperated themselves into events and such all over the world. Their main goal is to regulate the world of guardians and the peace within the world. They have military influence, some guardian wielders being used in specialized teams to take on those with guardians who choose to use their power for darkness. They also host many world wide battle competitions throughout the year. Their largest one is the Grand Prix, through which guardian wielders can register, and gain points or status through documented battles, weeding out those who are competing, until only a few reside left for the final battles that are held at the GBA capital in Armane City. There are referees set up all over the world during this time, to officiate and regulate battles that will be recognized by the competition. They also have their hands in just about everything from politics to everyday life for people within the world.
