Shaun of the Dead!
I made the mistake of watching it with my 9yo, and had to tell her through the whole thing, "honey, it's all pretend... none of the actors are REAL zombies and nobody is eating anyone else." Still... my favorite zombie/horror movie. Cheesy B-movie horror films are a close 2nd. Impossible for me to have sympathy for victims wearing beehives.

Being a horror freak, that's really hard for me to chose. The last horror movie I saw that had me thinking 'Holy ****, this is pretty good!' is Feast. I thought it was going to be complete crap, but I rather liked it. So I guess you can say that, at the moment, it's my favorite.

My favorite horror movie is The Shining or the Night of the Living. The Shining was just amazing and scary, especially with it symbolism. Night of the Living Dead, the original version, was scary for being in black and white. In a way, its scarier than later zombie movies.

I like 28 Weeks Later and Thir13en Ghosts.
Nosferatu is also a great horror movie, if silence doesn't bother you.

A huge shark eating anything that dare swim in the ocean.
Salty old fisher men talking about bow legged women.

"Haute tension" (High Tension in English)
I watch a lot of horror movies, I guess this one is more suspense than horror, it's a bit cheesy but some scenes make me hide behind a blanket.

Silence of the Lambs. It's a classic and all. Even though it's not all that horror-y.
And House on Haunted Hill is good too. Makes me giggle.

Let's see my favorite scary movies are ones that actually scare the heck out of me, like:
The Ring, The Grudge (both 1&2 were scary but the first one was scarier), Saw (the first one...didn't like the 2nd one and haven't seen the 3rd), dawn of the dead (zombies scare me...period), Dark Falls (that is the movie with the evil tooth fairy), and the first Freddy Kruger movie... any villain can kill you while your awake but it's even worse when you know you can die a gruesome death just by falling asleep.
I also like Shaun of the dead, Night of the living dead ( the original... Their coming to get you Barbara...), Dracula, and many others but they don't scare me...not even Silent Hill... (the game on the other hand scare the Beejesus out of me)

I don't have a favorite, I do have a list of them though. Rose Red (anything by SK, really), The Wax House, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Pulse was okay... not really ultra awesome, but it was okay.
My watching horror movies is limited. I really need to start looking for more interesting and scary movies to watch.

My favourite scary film would probarbly be power ranger's the movie.
My second favourite scary film is scream. I first saw scream when I was 4 I stayed up late one halloween and my parent's let me watch it not knowing it was scary. When I went to bed scared as a man about to be hanged, My dad came in with his mate's scream mask and a knife in his hand at which point I screamed and started crying.
