Allail shifted so that instead of hugging Abel like he had been before, he had one arm around his waist, facing the same way his love did. Allail decided that it would be best to continue trying to kiss Abel later, when the two were alone. After all, Allail did have some dignity, and he wouldn't use certain methods when he and Abel weren't alone.

He thought something was different, other than he and Abel having a candy bar. He looked around and noticed that the foxes had gone away. "Where did the foxes go?" His curiosity had shown itself again. He liked the two animals, and he didn't like not knowing things. This caused him to let go of Abel, however reluctantly, and start to wander off in search of them. It was just like hide and seek, and he loved that game. All that was missing was for Allail to stop and count until one hundred, which he was somewhat tempted to do.

"Oh foxies, where are you?" He didn't call out, but instead murmured the question to himself.

Lathrine turned, looking up the rock to where the two Heartface's had been curled together not a moment before, "Ah, fudgecicles. Where'd they get to in so short a time...?

Her fox 'looked' up curiously at the person the two of them had found. Was it friend or foe? She could not tell. It didn't smell like the other people in the building, but it smelled like a person from back in town. Who was this strange figure?

She'd held her breath when she noticed the foxes movement. If they found her she had no doubt that she'd be bombarded by pillows and feathers would be flying. She watched them carefully as they turned to go off in a different direction. Did Valentine's Day have meaning to the animals, too? Were they mates? Or maybe they'd discovered somebody else! Yes, that was more logical.

Her eyes followed the beasts carefully, but she couldn't see the person that they'd approached. Were they friend or foe? It was rather impossible to tell. So, instead of worrying about things in that general area she attempted to focus on the task at hand - the three people at the Roses' base.

She creeped up as quietly as she could manage in her silver heels, and just as she'd been about to leap towards Lathrine and smack her over the head with her wonderfully soft down pillow... her left heel stuck in the ground for a brief moment and instead she stumbled forward into the moonlight.

With a small gasp and widened eyes she bit her lip again in a nervous manner. Her knuckles turning white from her grasp on her pillow, she forced a small smile. "Er... hi?"

So much for the surprise attack.

(Night, Silver! <3 Sleep well! Actually... I should get to bed, too. I have to be up in about five hours for work.)

((Aww. D: See you tomorrow, Silver! :3))

Lathrine whirled on her heel and the sound of Kendra stumbling, one hand flying to one of the two Katra on her hips and the other gripping the down pillow the held, the feather cloak whirling and white hair dancing, then blinked, "Ah, hi,"

Kier whimpered slightly as the two looked up at her. Crap. So much for them changing their mind last minute at her. It was eerie to look at them and see them -not- looking back. How did they see anyways? Did they see her at all? Or maybe they were just going off smell? She shifted her weight slightly, the crouch making her back scream in protest from the position being held for such a long time, but she dare not straighten up. She peeked between bush branches and spotted another moving figure. And shit. It was coming her way too. Gods, was she THAT obvious? She shuffled backwards a little and prayed her armor was not glinting in the light from the now exposed moon. She also hoped whatever moved in the darkness did not spot her slowly creeping back into the trees, where the cover of the higher branches might do better to hide her. She dropped a piece of jerky on the ground by the foxes and hoped they would be momentarily interested in that rather than her as she tried to make a stealthy escape into the trees behind her. It would be just her luck if a teammate came up behind her and ruined the entire thing. Or worse, an "enemy".

((Yeah, sleep for me too. Work tomorrow. ^-^;; Still no Irises))

Lathrine's fox sniffed at the jerky interestedly, but had just eaten before they came out to visit the one that smelled 'not-person,' so it wasn't particularly hungry. Instead, it stretched it's head towards the person as it moved forward, sniffing the folds of her skirt, feathers of the belt, and wood of the staff.

((Yep, looks like I'll head to bed too, then. It IS three AM and all. XD; ))

Allail continued his search for the foxes. It wasn't very likely that he'd find them, but he would still try. After thirty minutes or so he'd get bored and go back to Abel. The animals always came back, and Allail didn't worry too much about them.

"Where are you, my furry friends?" He was whispering to himself again. He didn't want to call out, in case they may have smelled an enemy. Even if they didn't, there could still be some lurking around. These thoughts made him uneasy, and he reached for the pillow on his back. Only, there was no pillow. He had stupidly dropped his when he hugged Abel and then ran off without it. It was too late to go back, if he found someone on another team, he'd just run. Though he knew he wouldn't, he would most likely just try something clever and fail, or just stand there, or talk his way out. Maybe all three.

Since his eyes were transfixed on the ground, he noticed the jerky first. He picked it up, planning on saving it for the foxes later. He looked around again, and saw them, and a quick glint of moonlight off of something metallic.

It could just be an object that was here from before the start of the fight, there's no need to worry. But he wasn't fooling himself. He had memorized the land completely, and there had never been any piece of metal when he was patrolling, so it would either have have to be something put up by their enemies, which would mean there were some people from the one of the other teams around, or it was a part of someone's outfit. He took another look, and it was a person. Someone not on the Red Rose team. He froze, hoping that he hadn't been noticed yet, though he probably had been. He hadn't been trying to be quiet.

Climbing silently into the tree, she glanced at the ground and spotted one of the two foxes already sniffing up at her inquisitively. Crap. She waved her teddy bear at it, trying to shoo it away. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something that made her pause in mid-shoo. The dark shape that had been moving towards her, that had caused her hasty retreat, was standing only a few feet away. It was a man and it was most definitely not one of her teammates. She let out a tiny squeak of noise before climbing hastily higher into the tree. They had definitely spotted her. No doubt about that. But if she was lucky, they couldn't climb. Maybe she could hide here for a minute. Wait, no..she couldn't do that....it was probably a scout! If she just sat there, he would most likely go back and tell others where she was and they would attack in force! Her only hope was to take them down now. She closed her eyes and grimaced. Why did she sign up for this war again? Oh yeah, the glory. Pffft. Right. So she tried her best to silently creep out on an outstretched branch, hoping to get the jump on whoever it was down below. Maybe if she got him quickly and silently, the fox would not take notice. She really didn't feel like dealing with an "enemy" and teeth as well.

The fox that had been sniffing at the person turned, ears swiveling as Allail approached. Padding over, it nosed his hand with it's muzzle to greeting. This scent it recognized from a few minutes ago. This was one of the people from the building, a person it knew.

Abel felt a little more liberated now that he wasn't being hugged to death, but even that didn't last. Before he was even halfway through the chocolate bar, he was surprised by another random occurrence. Those seemed to be assaulting him often.

"Who are you?" he asked, a bit wary about all the pink she was wearing. Not that he was a picture of red, but still...

Meanwhile, Abel's fox was currently 'gazing' up the tree that Kierys was hiding in, though it was quickly drawn away by Allail. It padded over to him leisurely as he called to it. Even his whisper came to it's keen ears.

Whoever that person had been, Allail couldn't see them now, and he decided that his enemy had ran off. Probably didn't notice the lack of a pillow. Or maybe that they thought that he wanted him to think that he didn't have one. It didn't matter, he found what he had gone looking for.

"Hey there foxies. We should get back to our team base, there could be people from other teams around us. Like that person you had found just a moment ago. Wonder where they went. Oh well, they're gone, and we can go now. Should warn Lathrine and Abel though." Allail giggled. When he and the foxes got back he would definitely try to kiss Abel again. "Can't wait to see Abel. Finding you probably wasn't worth leaving his side, you know your way back. Well, lets go."

He started walking back towards his team's base, and thought about how he was going to try to kiss Abel this time. It was always fun doing that, especially since the Crusnik blushed a lot. Maybe when he got Abel alone he'd just go in for the kiss.

Lathrine's Heartface walked over to Abel's Heartface and nosed it's side, then motion with it's head back toward where the scent of the other people was. It then leapt to catch up with Allail. It could smell the chocolate bar on him, and was hopeful that it could get a piece.

Kier watched the boy turn his back to leave with both foxes in tow. Okay, gotta plan. Gotta have a strategy. If she launched an air attack, she might get a good hit in, but what if he was expecting that? What if he sent the foxes after her? She grimaced at the idea of foxy teeth tearing into her poor teddy bear. But time was running out. It looked like the foxes relied on smell. Maybe if she struck quickly, they wouldn't have enough time to retaliate. Okay. Okay. Get ready. She waggled her rump and wiggled her shoulders, crouched low over the branch. A low growl rolled up in her throat. She was ready to pounce. She readied her bear to strike but as she tugged, she noticed it caught in between branches. Bugger. She jerked again. No luck. She started a tug of war with the branches, yanking on the bear and pushing against the branch to make it loose her weapon. She was causing quite a lot of rocking on the branch beneath her feet. Stupid move.
-CRACK-
'Shit.'
The limb beneath her didn't seem to like all her movement and with a snapping that sounded like a gunshot, she was hurtling towards the ground. She had time to let out one terrified yelp as her widened eyes took one last look at her trapped teddy before she made contact with the ground and everything went black.

Allail jumped at the loud cracking noise, and before he could turn around he heard the noise of something hitting the ground. When he looked to the source of the racket, he found someone lying on the ground. Now, it was pretty obvious that she wasn't anyone from his team, and that it was the same person as before.

After that one look, he spun around back to camp and ran. He had been so careless, she could have hit him with a pillow and he wouldn't know until her pillow made contact with his body. So careless. I really need to pay more attention. I really have to warn Abel and Lathrine now. His mind started wandering back to what he was going to do with Abel once they were alone. NO! I have to stay focused on my current task. Not how cute Abel looks when he blushes. He really is cute. I can't wait until I see hi-NO! Why does Abel have to be so darned lovable?

Allail slowed down, thinking thoughts about the Crusnik again. He hadn't forgotten about the woman who had fallen. For all he knew, she was already chasing him. But no matter how hard he tried, Allail couldn't stop thinking about Abel. Still, warning them would have to come before trying to lock lips with Abel.

((Sorry it got a little crappy at the end. My inspiration decided it wanted to get shot.))

She was... Well. She was the sand dunes of the desert and the waves of the sea, the single moment in which green touches yellow. She was changing. Fleeting. Gone with a single sigh like a childhood wish shared with a puff flower. She could be seen one day curtsying in the finest of ball gowns and seen the next battling with her Pudao, looking as though each block and strike was part of a deadly dance. Her maturity came and went like a dream fleeing consciousness and her temper was forever being lost and found and lost again.

It had been lost, this particular evening. Her temper, that was. Although she had no Pudao with which to strike, she was armed by a more primitive weapon. A whip. It had a crimson handle that she held arrogantly in the right hand to leave her left with the lacy black pillow she had chosen for this particular outing. A similar pillow embraced her upper back, hooked to the complex web of latex that embraced her body over the lacy bra and skimpy panties she wore underneath. From her throat hung a mark of extreme wealth, a crimson pendant with a simple array of beads shimmering against the ivory of her temptress flesh. The centerpiece of the necklace, however, was the simple heart that matched the cheaper, sharp hearts tipping the end of her whip.

Only her eyes were moving. They stood out from the mature ebony of her garments and the dull accents of maroon and gold. To look upon her face was almost distracting. It was not because of her good looks or soft, serious expression. Nor was it from the small tattoo imprinted onto the flesh underneath her left eye. Or at least, it wasn't usually. No, it was simply because of the bright colors of her eyes. Colors, yes. Not color. The iris of the left sported the green of emeralds and the iris of the right spoke of a sleeping sea. Although not rare in the island of Menewsha, it was unnatural enough to cause a moment of hesitation. Fascination. It appealed and repulsed most people that looked upon her, and for that she was often amused.

She hadn't made a sound. But someone else had. And luck behold, that someone else was a member of her own team. It was easy to identify most of the people on this scene, as they were all morons and dressed in one hue of white or the other. Unlike her, who put some sort of attempt into blending into the darkness, these others had decided to make themselves walking targets. And apparently, her idiot teammate had decided to make herself a flashing neon target. Her lips moved to utter a swear, the sound lost in the sound of Kierys' fall. She had analyzed the situation, there was no way she could risk a blunt and obvious attack. However...

She took her whip and slammed it hard against a limb beside her, breaking it from the tree and causing a most satisfying CRACK. The harsh cry resounded throughout the area as splinters spun about like a small blizzard. If luck was with her, then perhaps the three she had spotted would split up to find the source of the two sounds.

Lathrine jumped at the first crack and the yelp. Turning, she saw Allain running back over toward her, Abel, and the other girl with the foxes following. "What is it?" She asked, concerned, as Allain drew closer.

Then the second crack sounded, and she swore, "Dammit, okay, hold that thought. I'll go check in with the other lookouts and see if they can tell where that second one came from,"

Allail bent over, his hands on his knees. He had finally made it back to where Lathrine, Abel, and the girl in pink was. Wait, a girl in pink? She hadn't been there when he left. Had she? He wasn't sure, he had been a little preoccupied with the foxes and Abel at the time to notice.

He was about to answer Lathrine when she told him to hold that thought. It would be best to tell her now, but when she told him to hold that thought, he just nodded. It would be better for him to catch his breath before speaking.

Now if only he had something to replenish the energy he had exerted from running. Oh yeah, the candy bar! Allail had totally forgotten about that. He opened the wrapper and took a bite. It was very delicious, and just what he needed right now.

While chewing the candy, he walked over to Abel and put his arm around him. "Who's this?" His voice sounded a little weird, since he was still a little out of breath and had some candy in his mouth. But he thought that Abel would be able to understand him. Even if he couldn't, Allail pointing his bar of candy should be enough for Abel to figure out what he had asked.
