It's hard to compare the two because they're different Genes. Twilight is a teen romance, While Harry Potter is a kid/teen fantasy.

HARRY POTTER. Are you kidding me? That's a no brainer.. I mean, Harry Potter is way up there on the scale, J.K Rowling created an amazing world that deserved all the hype.
Twilight was just an okay book.. i mean Stephenie Meyer just can't compete against J.K Rowling. They're on different levels.
I love HP so much and would re read the books over and over again and never get bored of them! i love the story so much. It's so in depth and detailed and DELICIOUS. sorry, that kind of came out of no where XD brain food ..

Oh dear, this is a hard question!
I'm going to have to say Harry Potter, but it's a close call :)

I will say Harry Potter, hands down. For one, the characters are more developed. There's more plot twists, and even with the movies, OR the book you can't predict what's coming.
And on top of that...vampires, that....sparkle? O_o are you serious? I mean come on! The only way a vampire should be able to sparkle is by waring body glitter.

I think Harry Potter is better written. Meyer went down hill after Eclipse. The money and fame got to her head. Then she spit out the movies really fast.
I enjoy Harry Potter more because she didn't get all weird at the end... and i just believe it has more story to it...

I've read the Harry Potter Series five times, sometimes out of order. I havn't read the Twilight series for second time yet, it just doesn't grab at you the way HP does. Thats when you know a book or sereis is good you reread it and it never gets old you still get caught up in the book. At least thats the way I feel. :P

Ditto. Usually, if the first book of a series fails to get my attention, then I don't follow through with the rest of the series. That's what happened with Twilight. Too much whining, too little plot and character development. That's why I've been one of the nutzos who can't wait for the next Harry Potter movie to come out.
By the way, I know when the Deathly Hollows movies are coming out. Yes, you heard me right; MOVIES! Plural! :squee:

i agree with ikittymow. harry potter is WAY WAY WAY. better written.
harry potter > twilight to me
on the other hand
harry potter movies and twilight movies are on the same level. i get excited when either of them come out. i don't know what i'll do when harry potter and twilight are over. life will be over.

No competitions - Harry Potter wins. Hands. Down.
Twilight is poorly written, the plot and characters exhibit domestic abuse signs, and basically has no substance. No character development either.
