I'm taking a class in my school for mandarin next year.
And maybe I'll take it during college.

I wish I could at least take French,
but my school is so tiny it only has Spanish.
I'd have to go to the community college to take another language.
I'm too much of a wimp to take my SAT which
I need to get to take the classes over there. :sweat: Haha.

PSAT and SAT 2's are pretty easy, DON'T BE A WIMP!!!

I took Spanish through middle school and in 9th grade.
My 9th grade Spanish teacher turned EVIL.
So I didn't take it after that.
Kind of a stupid reason to quit.
But I wanted to take an art class,
so ohh well. x'D
Yeah, I'd much rather learn French-the language of LOVEE~~~-
than Spanish, but knowing Spanish would definitely help me get a
job...but I'm too busy (bumming around that is) to learn Spanish. lol.

I've been trying to learn Japanese, but it seems that I just don't have the talent for languages...I suck horribly :gonk: I could never be able to memorize all those words, and my mind just crashed at the grammar of the language. Aaaargh.

I can speak fluent Mandarin and English, though I may or may not have an accent with English, since I've never heard a recording of my own voice in English, I suppose I wouldn't know. My writing's horrible though xD I keep on flunking my Chinese classes at school throughout high school, thank the Gods that after my freshman year in college where Chinese classes are mandatory I've never had to study that language again. I hate old Chinese. It's like reading the original version of Shakespeare or Beowulf or something, like a completely different language. :gonk:

I want to take an art class to improve my horrible skills, but I don't have the time and there are a ton of different classes that could help boost my academic record and make me look better to colleges (hopefully).
Orchestra this year was fun but a waste of time. I still ended up quitting violin.

Fading Existence: I'm sure you could memorize the words well enough but completely understand the whole grammar thing. That's a different story. That's what makes learning a language so difficult and is why I only know English.

Your writing is at least better than many people who have taken only English their entire lives. The public school system can be very sad.

Rini plays it...not as well as she used to, but she does.
If you hate playing there's no use in continuing, but
if you don't, maybe try to pick it up for 15 minutes every other
day or something. It might be something you'd regret if you forgot
it completely. Kind of talking to myself too. Darned flute. It's a love/hate
relationship with me. I ignore it but can't let it completely go.

Well...only a few years I suppose. I was born in the states, but left when I was four years old (I think the only words I know back then were my name and 'love', for some reason xD), then I went back again for second grade to fourth grade, then came back to Taiwan again, and I haven't been back since. I used to go back for summer vacation, but the last time I've been to the states was over seven years ago. I kinda miss it there. x__x
