Wow, that's a scary price, I like that coat though! It's kind of 80s, but not in an embarrassing way xD I've noticed you have an extremely individual style, Bigs. I don't pity you as that means so little mainstream clothing is going to appeal to you.

It is very pricey, that's several months of a clothing allowance. I did see it on other websites with a lower price listed, but they were all out of stock of course.
The same brand makes this coat, which I am somewhat drawn to: FRANCOISE coat | Gentlefawn | Gentle Fawn But it doesn't feel as versatile, and again, the price.

Fashion is an issue, yes. Especially given I have the no silk, no leather requirements. I have been lucky that there's been a masculine tailoring trend going for the past few seasons, which suits my taste very well. And second hand has become quite the thing, which is luckily something that provides things I like too.

Alas, I do seem to be having expensive tastes lately - This is just my sort of thing, but it's more than the coat!

Ebay is my saviour, there's no denying that. I said I was unlikely to ever buy anything new every again, but I have caved and bought some things from Bravissimo/Pepperberry, though the dress I ordered was out of stock by the time they went to dispatch it, they have sent a larger size for me to try instead, but I am pretty sure that's going to be way too big. I kind of don't mind as this is a full price item and £65 for a dress is more than I can afford, I'll just look out for it on Ebay, by next year someone's bound to be getting rid of theirs.

I want the cardi that I bought in the sale to arrive though! I think you might not dislike that one, though I could be wrong, you and I seem to have very different tastes.

That's pretty cute! I'd never heard of pepperberry before. -Looks at tagline- There's definitely a need on the market.
Ebay is amazing but I also fear it exposes me to too much good stuff.

The name Pepperberry has only been around for a year or so, before that their clothes were Bravissimo, same as their bras. They are a UK company though, and while they do ship to the US, the US has to know about them in the first place. They have nice things, well-fitting because of their sizes within sizes. But they are a bit pricey for my wage, I generally only get things in the sale.

See that's what I like about Ebay. My favourite clothing companies are White Stuff and Boden, both of which are beyond my price range. But I've been able to get quite a lot of things from both of them now, by getting them on Ebay. :D

Oh, that's good, if you have a general brand you are looking for. I tend to zero in on stuff, thinking that's all I want and can afford to spend on, then I fall down a dangerous wormhole.
Oh, White Spot! They have very cute underwear.

They do! But they tend to be knickers that your bum cheeks stick out of, and I find those really irritating ><

I thought Cherry Who?: might like these:
One Wise Kitty Socks | Mod Retro Vintage Socks | ModCloth.com
As Purr Usual Necklace | Mod Retro Vintage Necklaces | ModCloth.com
(well, the last one is out of stock, but if you yell at them, they sometimes bring it back)
As they have $20 off with the code robopug until midnight.

I find modcloth as become too cutesy for my tastes, but there are a few things I like this time around:
Back in the Rabbit Necklace | Mod Retro Vintage Necklaces | ModCloth.com
I'm actually quite impressed with this dress, and I'm not much of a dress person:
Traffic People My Forest Choice Dress | Mod Retro Vintage Dresses | ModCloth.com
Particularly like the apple down at the bottom. Not big on the waist, however.

There were a couple of boots too:
Above the Foldover Bootie in Chestnut | Mod Retro Vintage Boots | ModCloth.com
Zip Right Up Boot in Brown | Mod Retro Vintage Boots | ModCloth.com
that would be the one exception to my zipper on shoes distaste, I'm thinking.

Here's a green pheasant sweater. I'm not sure if this is considered "teal".
Bellfield | Bellfield Otus Jumper - Racing Green - James And James
And I found some sad little pheasant socks. Pheasant Crew Socks - Brooks Brothers

These are probably the top things I'm bummed I missed out to get.

Aren't you a dear! You actually found the sweater, amazing. That's definitely an option if I find the other doesn't ship to the US.
I like those socks, sad though they may be

Oh, I'm always scared to go look at my favourited items, because I find what's gone forever.
You have nice taste, though!

Mm, those socks are cute. I'm hesitant to drop more than a buck or two on cute socks, though, as I tend to wear holes in them. Also our carpet is ancient and disgusting, so it stains socks. It would make me very sad to drop $10 on a cute pair of socks only for them to become holey and discolored on the bottoms within a year or so.

Well, I did start wearing slippers a lot a couple of years ago, and that has cut down on the amount of threadbare socks. But the staining still happens since I don't wear them at the same time. It's time for some new goddamn carpets is what it's time for.

Yeah, that's really bizarre, I've never heard of it before. Is it the dyes that were used when it was made?

I always buy black socks cause I hate when they get discolored. Or cute socks. Target has cute cheap socks.

I saw a sweater on Tumblr that made me think of Bigs! It was dark green and had pheasants on it.

That's actually totally my style, Iku! Well, maybe not the bird pants. Not big on patterned pants, though I do own this pair:

Jelly! Find it again! :o

Speaking of things found on tumblr, and socks:

ÀõͬѧÈÕϵÉzϵ¿É°®¸´¹ÅÖ÷Ìâͼ°¸ÖÐͲÍàÃÞÍà-ÌÔ±¦Íø

Urgch, I finally found those zara slippers in my size(http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ZARA-Green...item233274545e) but they only ship to the UK.

Searching "pheasant sweater tumblr" just gives me a bunch of photos of Doctor Who's Arthur Darvill
I found this though: British Prep | Pheasant prints are perfect for the festive season...
Oh dear, that blog has turned me on to a whole bunch of zara blazers I could want.

You know how I say in the first post that I find what I want too late? Well
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1675281...lady-deco-lady
December 3rd

I don't know what made me think of this the other day, but I felt I wanted to update the "what I want to collect" thing I had going on in Fancypants, but I want to do it here? I feel a lot of rambly posts coming on.

So some things are the same.
Chatelaine accessories, Ex Voto, Lotus Slippers, vintage shaving stuff.
For some reason I've gone off mourning jewelry a bit? is it too personal? I still like mouring ephemeria though. I think I want a lacrimosa vial.

victorian moustache cups, intended to keep them dry!

Meiji era japanese prints

Rocks! Several specific ones
Landscape agates

Dentritic Moss agates

Opalized fossils

Shakespearean Heroine prints

antique natural history illustrations

I do want science instruments. Specifically a tellurian.

a convex mirror

Aesthetic movement children's tea set (well, this one specifically)

An art nouveau belt buckle

Medieval bras rubbings (preferably my own)

There's a coffee pot I can't find the image of, and a few books I've seen on tumblr as well, for mere having them on your shelf aspect: The fairyland of science, Strange women, and The perversions of quiet girls

So I bought the fern socks
I also bought this lovely shirt. I love my button ups, even if they know how to fight with a bustline:

Oh look! A shift dress with a cool collar, in the vein of the green one I still love on the first page:
http://www.sheinside.com/Khaki-Embro...FdNrfgodxWYAkA
LOL at the 35 inch bust. One of my breast would have to come off for that to work correctly.
