Nice! X3 The last "rave" I went to was at an anime convention. XD (Actually, all the "raves" I've ever been to were at anime cons. >w>;; ) It was a t AnimeNext in NJ. :3 It wasn't bad - they played a really cool remix of Aya Hirano's "God Knows..." X3

There are no anime conventions near me, sadly. ^^; I think the closest one is 3 hours away...? And that's only a 1-day con at a college. D: (but it was pretty damn epic this year! I got to participate in Match Game with 4 voice actors! 8D)

AnimeNext was about 4-5 hours away, and I also went to AnimeNorth in Toronto, which is 6 hours away. XD Their outdoor rave, Otakupalooza, was EPIC. 8D

I also went to Otakon in Balitmore for the first time this year! 8D But I couldn't go to the rave cuz I sprained my ankle on the Friday night of the con. ;o; Stupid hobos. >>;

The anime clubs at the unis around here are -very- active, they've set up a committee called PAniC (Perth Anime Conventions), and they set up one convention called Wai-con around the end of Jan which I went to this year! So much fuun! xD they also do the anime ball and some smaller events like cosplay ice skating, laser tag, karaoke and a 'race around the city' (amazing race style. xD )
Then theres supanova which happens in July (it's geared more towards the star trek and Dr who fans though, we had some awesome voice actors this year!) and then in October is GO3 (our mini E3. it's tiinyy, no joke. This year theres a $3000 cosplay prize! ).
Luckily all three of them either happen in the city which is about 20-40 min away or at the showground near my house. xD

I've heard of Wai-con before. :3 I think some of the people I watched on dA go to it~

We only have 2 colleges in the area, and the anime clubs are small and under-funded. ;o; It'd be a miracle if they could ever put on a con! XD

Pickle; aaaw! they were the same until they started having these mini events to make some money, the cons started out reaallly small, this is the 5th convention so far I think they've had, and i've been going to their cons since 2005... and since then it's really grown! they use to be at small venues but now we have the Perth Convention center and over 3000 people go to it! Which is pretty impressive with out city being a bit on the small side!

OMG, I made my goal! I can't believe it! ;w; I have enough to get the last item I need for my second set, and just in time too!
