Do I have to put in an entry form for a pick, or are they just chosen from posters in the thread?

The admins pick from pretty much any avatar they see on the site. If it strikes their fancy, they pick it. Sometimes it's people who post here, other times it's not. Posting here does kind of guarantee that they'll see your avatar, and there's nothing wrong with sharing one that you think is awesome... It just doesn't necessarily mean that the admin whose turn it is will pick that person.

Omg. I'M SO IN LOVE! Amazing job Nephila, and amazing pick Knerd!! This was one of my favorite movies growing up too - now I have the songs rolling through my head!! Gah - such a great cosplay!! Great creative use of the items! I never would have thought of that!! :D

Today's A-Pick is this lovely avatar by Kenome-Chan:


Nice color combination! But what I really like is how the avatar overall seems very long and somewhat rigid, like a statue or a doll. This is achieved through use of items that disguise the curviest, most bendy parts of the avatar + items with thin line detailing resembling hand-stitching (about the hips, neck, etc). The mask covering much of the face lends to the feeling that she might not quite be real. I can imagine her lying in wait behind this beautiful facade, watching and listening. Pretty neat!
