The Night Angels Trilogy by Brent Weeks is really good. Anyone read it? ((I have less than 100 pages left in the last one so no spoilers please!))

I've read The Night Angel's Trilogy, absolutely loved it. The first book was a little grr with some typos and grammar issues that a quick editing should have caught, but I'm guessing they were pushing for a release so it is excused by how epicly good the books are.

Brent Weeks has a new book out that I so want to get but waiting for paperback.

I've been into a vampire romance series called the Black Dagger Brotherhood, very good stuff.

I saw his new book at Barnes and Noble the other day. I almost bought it...but talked myself out of it. I like reading paperback better and it's cheaper. I think the first book was best of the Night Angels. I got a little disappointed by the second and third because of it seemed a bit cliche. I think my problem is I've read too many fantasy books, so I see the similarities everywhere.

Have you heard of C.S. Friedman?? She's my favorite author. The Cold Fire trilogy is fantastic. Its the characters that make her books. They have so much depth and they change throughout the books. And they're not your stereotypical characters either. They fall under a nice shade of gray. I think if you like the Night Angels Trilogy, you'll like the Cold Fire Trilogy. You should check it out.

Cold Fire trilogy: Black Sun Rising, When True Night Falls, and Crown of Shadows.
