It sold for so high because people knew it was for charity.

Previous Charity Auctions have seen prices as high as 130, 000g for a single item.
The average going price for regular non charity auctions is 13-15K for them. (Auctioneer items in general)

With two auctioneer items currently up for sale at 150,000 and 70,000g -which is the current values because once people get these items they're very unlikely to sell them. The last known auctions for most of these items we're in 2014.

Planning who gets what and putting final bids of 10,000 to make you feel like you benefited the charities is not the intention behind this auction.

I'm sorry you can't see that.

wow I did not know that...honestly I would never have been able to bid six figures on an item and I don't remember ever participating in these auctions, maybe because I was not around or did not have nearly enough goldies at the time, let alone winning any so I was not aware of that :< I'm very sorry

It's not "final" bids. There are those members still unaccounted for who might want to bid even higher.
So far we have 80.5k going into charities. Which again, could still be raised before the event actually ends.

I am curious, How many active charities do we have?

This is a USER event, we as users are working together. WITH each other, to HELP each other get items, AS WELL as helping out the charities.

I'm actually shocked that everything is so low. I expected to have to narrow down sooner anyways to a couple of items. backing off the three items made sense to me (especially being bribed for the ledger >.<) and hence backing off the one bunchi slipper as well. I want someone to bid against me for my remaining 4. xD

Next time the bidding should start at a higher price if you want the prices to get higher. Start with 10k minimum.

I think it's because most of the people bidding in this auction actually do not have that much gold to begin with

wtf? I thought this was an auction? tbh I think all of you should be banned from participating for collusion. I don't care if the prices stay low or go high, but this definitely wasn't done fairly. :x

I don't know how else to potentially rectify this situation besides to ping all the people who ever made a bid in here to remind them to bid now

Go ahead and ping everyone. All you would need is to check the people who have posted in the thread and ping each one with a "place your bids if you want anything". But they would need to see an updated front page to see what the bids are at currently or search the number.

What I want is to have an auction with everyone respecting the auction and its rules. :x The Auctioneer shouldn't need to state every single possible way you could disrespect and cheat him and all the other participants not in on your little games for you to participate fairly.

We are following what rules have been stated.
Bids are still f open. Place a bid on an item if you have already been bidding on it.
We've just set a guideline for ourselves as to what ones we are going after.
Others can still try to outbid on such items.
If someone places a bid on the Ledger, Kent could still bid higher. If someone bids on the gows, Sal could still bid higher.
Wanna bid? GO FOR IT

I don't consider it cheating. We were a group of friends coming together to state what we want to go after.
The bids are still open to everyone to bid on.

No, you are a group of people who tried to collaborate and manipulate the prices in an auction. You did not "state what you were after." You made a list of who could bid on what and for what price to ensure that everyone on that list would go out of their ways to make things cheaper for each other. This is collusion, and it most certainly is cheating.

From my understanding we were making an agreement that we were backing out of the ledger and cows bidding war to focus on the other items. Not setting any ending amount.
I bumped my bids up on 4 of the items because i was backing out on those three items and want the bids to still be going higher.

No offense was meant to anyone. Nor did we expect this to stop the bidding in the slightest.

that list was what the current bids were from my understanding

Not when we up the prices to a suitable amount.
Should be stated that there is no collaboration if someone doesn't want to collaborate. And see, we didn't work together until the last day. The event had all the days before to get it to be jacked up until some people get weeded out because they do not want to pay that much.

---------- Post added 07-21-2017 at 01:52 AM ----------

Plus, there is still plenty of time for everyone to pitch in if they want to bid more on the items.

Yes, we are all a bunch of friends at the auction ^_^
Plus it doesn't say we can't collaborate with each other.
