I told my mom I need to know by Friday what date to give the potential employer that I'll start. I did learn today that the tenants in the house secured a rent and will likely be out before the month is over. I'm hoping this means we'll close in another 5 weeks or so. It'd give us roughly 2 weeks to get the apartment cleaned out, which is ideal. Now let's just hope I'm not starting a new job in this process.

I hope so too. Once we get an actual confirmation that financing has been approved, I'll start making arrangements and likely doing some light packing. It'll be nice to just know something and get things in place.

Haha, I totally understand. I don't want to work the next three days AT ALL.

I am trying to weigh when to start my new job. I desperately want out of this one, but staying until we close the house and move would be best for Cole, Terra and me. I dunno. If I actually can keep employment 'till the end of June, then yay. If I can't, then I'll start the new job ASAP.

I'm sure that whatever happens, you'll be able to manage it.

My laptop died. Why does everything hit at once? O.o

It's not fixable. It's likely a power supply issue that's not related to the actual charger itself. Based on how it died, I am pretty sure I can get a hard drive enclosure and save my files. I sure hope so. I had so many art commissions... updated resume... all sorts of notes of stuff to get done.

I pulled out my old laptop and I'm on it now. I'm downloading Linux Mint (Cinnamon) and will install that later tonight. I need to, because this laptop was replaced when the OS began failing. Sometimes it refuses to boot up. Right now I'm just hoping it can be useable until we get the house.

I did get confirmation today that we've been approved for financing. There was a huge list of conditions the lender gave us, and I piled together all the paperwork at work since our printer is out of ink. I'll take it to the bank tomorrow, as I have one final thing to print. I'm hoping this is all we need.

I'm glad to hear the financing came through. It's a bitch about the computers, though. :/ I hope the hard drive will be easily salvaged. I am bad at not backing up my computer, so I would be so screwed.

I am being hopeful. After work today I should be able to fiddle with the other machine. Cole may grab another shift so that we have more money for closing. It would be overtime so...yay.

That person having a hard go did attempt suicide, and they may not make it. It's been a rough day.

My sister's brother-in-law took a ton of Tylenol when his mom went crazy after their divorce. Thank god his liver healed.

Yep. And Metformin and a type of hormone to help stimulate ovarian follicles, I believe. It was premeditated, as she told me all these things when I went down to help ground her last week. The thing is, if someone wants to kill themselves, they will. Crisis can't take someone against their will unless the person is actively suicidal and threatening themselves or another in the moment. People cannot force others to seek therapy, either.

If someone wants to die, they will die. :( I'm not sure how she is, where she is mentally. I'll send her flowers tomorrow, as the shop closed already. Bah.

Indeed. Which honestly, I think it's best that they can't take people, honestly. It would be easy to abuse.

In happier news, I got all that paperwork into the bank today, and I hope to hear tomorrow if we're officially-officially approved. Cole's paycheck was more than we were expecting today, and we'll definitely have enough by the end of this month to close on the house, if we could get all parties on board. I'm going to test the waters about that once I get the official-official "yep, it's real".

This excites me.

I also think I fixed the old laptop up with Linux. I've restarted it five or so times and it's not had a boot up snag. I'm hoping beyond hope. I don't think I can get a different one until the fall.

Oh, and I have my start date for my new job! July 7th. :D
