alli walked closer to them, but stopped before she got too close. she gripped onto her sword tighter and clentched her teeth. "ankoku." she said seriously. "you do not belong on this earth any more than he did. i thank you for eliminating the other vampires, and will repay you with anything. but i stand by my beliefs when i say that all vampires are wicked creature that DO NOT belong on this earth." she stopped, still holding her sword, wanting nothing more than to dig the blade into his his heart, but after seeing him now, she was almost scared. almost. she pointed in the direction lena was in. "she is fine now, by the way. but i do not reccomend going to see her the way you look now." she nodded at his large black wings, elongated fangs, and the way his eyes were dark black, but his skin was as pale as paper. "she would be frightened."

Lena had moved herself downstairs into the middle room where she felt it was safer. It was the same room the slayers stayed in for the night. The two puncher wounds in her neck had dried over and bumped up a bit. Swelling from the sudden pain. She looked outside to see the bodies of the counsel members just drop like flies. Lena found herself looking away from the sight. Although she hated seeing others die, the though of it being the military made her a bit happy. The smell of blood and death made her feel a bit sick. She hoped the rebels were alright for the most part, and Alli had lived. Lena sat down in one of the chairs, feeling not very good all of a sudden. She knew what was going on. A few times while Ranpu was feeding on her, he would slip a dug into her body. Lena did feel very tired, but she refused to sleep. Unsure of what this drug could have been...

S***, Leone thought. The whole armed unit outside of the base had just literally dropped dead. He was frozen, sitting on a branch of a large tree. His breathe was held inside for fear that whoever did it would come out and kill him as well. After ten minutes, Leone wasn't sure if the danger had passed. However the human kid was still sitting somewhere in this God forsaken forest and he had to check if it was alive. Breaking a large branch off, Leone waited for someone to come running at the sound of it's crack. No one did. He dropped it down onto the ground. Perhaps whatever killed the soldiers was some kind of gas that came through on ground level. The branch and it's leaves didn't wither or anything when it landed and Leone took it as a sign that it was safe to get out of the tree. Jumping down and nearly breaking his foot while landing, Leone picked himself up and walked back to where he last remembered coming from. He wasn't breathing in case there was a death gas and after checking several hollow trees, he found the one that the child was in. Picking it up, he bade it to follow him as they went back towards the base. It had stopped moving when it saw the bodies so Leone was forced to carry it, stepping over the fallen soldiers all along the way. He stopped at the doorway. This was stupid; obviously this was not a good time to come and knock on their door when they just won a battle and are probably all tense. However, he didn't want to camp out in the unfamiliar woods tonight and they were likely to be as tense and battle worn today as tomorrow. Reaching out, Leone gave a good solid knock three times and called out ",hello to whoever's inside. I'm not here to fight you guys." Even as he said that he still reached for his gun to protect himself but changed his mind as his gun would be outmatched anyways.

Lena heard the voice. It sounded familiar, but distant at the same time. She started to get up. Feeling a bit wobbly standing on her feet. She did not answer right away, but knew the door would open on its own. She started to walk in complete silence out of the main room and into the hall way where she heard the voice. "Who is it?" She asked as the door started to open from the solid knocks. What she saw next made her heart stop dead for a few second. "Leone.." She muttered.

((Bla.. Sorry it so short..))

Leone heard a female voice call out. It sounded a bit weak and dizzy but that was probably the result of battle fatigue. He cautiously opened the door and saw a that the voice had belonged to a human girl. Her face appeared familiar but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "Do I know you..?" He let the question hang for a moment before proceeding to unwrapp the kid from his coat.

Lena stayed a certain distance away from the kid. Not needing to be rude, he just had the face of his father. Though she did not know him directly, she had seen him. Lena had been forced to sit in on a few of the counsel meetings. The longer ones. Sometimes Leone would be there. Richard hoping he would take the place of him someday. They did never speak though. His question confused her though. How could he not remember. Lena stepped more into the light. Allowing him to see her. "You should" She said a bit stronger this time.

Leone was a bit taken aback inwardly by the girl's tone but then reminded himself that this was no longer vampire society and that here they were all equals. When she stepped out into the light, he had remembered; one of the coucil's pets. Although, how she had escaped from their tight security was a bizarre mystery. "Did you escape on your own?" he said in a voice that was both surprised and impressed. There was a slim chance that one of the rebels had broke into the coucil hall and helped her get away.

Lena shook her head. "I had help" She watched the boy move about. He seemed very confused, and studing her. Just as she was watching him. "What are you doing here? It is dangerous for you.." Lena warned him. Even if he had possible broken with his father, it could have been very tricky to convince the rebels of his actions. Lena for one was not even sure what he was doing here. She could tell though, he he was lying or not.

Leone was trying to look as though he had his entire focus on Lena but in reality he was entralled to be inside the rebell base. Taking in the detail and the whole deadly atmosphere, he was brought back to his senses by her question. Pulling the human kid out from behind him, Leone crouched down like a parent trying to teach a toddler to walk and nudged him toward Lena. "This was supposed to be my dinner, I was hoping you guys could take care of him since I probably can't hide him in the family basement." He wondered if she had known who he was and couldn't tell if the shock on her face was due to the fact that he was a vampire or a blood relation to a council member.

Lena almost automatically went to the child. He was so small, she looked him over, but almost right away realized something was wrong. Her eyes grew sad. "This child will not live through the night..." She spoke softly. So softly she whispered. If it was not for Leone's sensitive hearing, he may of not heard her. "He has been drugged to the point of weakness. Nutrients to you i believe.. poison to us. Giving it to someone of his size it just.." Lena could not even say the next few words. She looked into the child's weak eyes. They had the same look hers normally held. Very neutral towards the situation. Lena looked up to Leone, seeing that he probably did not know about what had happened to this child.

Leone had heard Lena's words and was a bit alarmed. Was it because there really was a gas on the forest floor? He had already ruled it as the reasons why the troopers had died like flies attacked with a invisible bug spray. Looking to her for answers, Leone asked ",Is there nothing you can do about it?" Surely the base must have something prepared for situations like these. Of course he didn't want the kid to die. It better not. Especially after the trouble he took to take it here.

Lena only shook her head. "I was given the same drugs. It makes us weaker... more likely to just give in." She stopped and picked the child up in her arms. He was starting to go into the deep sleep. That was one good thing about the drug. It waas not painful. He would just sleep, then stop breathing eventually. "There is nothing I can do.. I'm sorry" Lena said to the vampire. Kneeling back down after a bit. She could see he was hurt. "This base is only meant to hold vampires. I am the only human." Lena expained to him the best she could. "I do not think even the rebels know about the drug."

ankoku floated in front of the hole where he threw ranpu out of his room and said "do you wish to save the child?" ankoku stepped down and looked at the newcomer who brought the sick child. he picked up the child and said "come with me. i'll make you better little one, so you may live to see another day." he flew back up and floated above the base. "god of death come forth once agian." darkness moved around them and formed runes and thus the god of death appeared agian. "i wish to save this child. to remove the poison that was injected in him from the monsters that worked for my brother. i wish for the sand left in his hourglass to be refilled so he can live a normal life span." the god of death looked at the child and held his hand over the childs face. suddenly the hourglass of the child appeared in the god's other hand.

Leone didn't really know what to say so he just gaped at the sight. Firstly, this was...Ankoku; Rampu's traitorous brother who had ran away to support the humans. There had been posters and notices spread throughout the city when he left, anybody who found him would've been given some outlandish sum of cash in reward. Not that Leone needed it. The whole scene that was happening before him seemed to dream-like and he bit the inside of his mouth to check if he was awake. Ow, yeah this was happening. Ankoku looked so different than when Leone last saw him at one of the state dinners. This was one of those demonic vampire forms that he had briefed over in school...
The new Ankoku was no longer someone that anybody could pick a fight with; not without dying. Leone discreetly backed away to the wall and wished he could shrink himself. His instincts told him to go run for it but the whole healing ceremony was too much of a fascinating sight to turn away from.

ankoku took the hourglass and placed more sands of life in it. "the chuild must live, for he shall ba a child that will see a better tommorrow. he will see what the world was like before my father made his mistakes." a light flashed from the hourglass and the boy floated up with the hourglass. the boy floated back down and landed in ankoku's arms. ankoku had changed back to his normal form. he floated back down and said "an angel from hell has just performed a heavenly duty." he placed the sleeping child on the bed and said "let him rest, the poison has been washed out of him and he will be a normal being when he wakes up." he turned to leone and summoned the blade of twilight and said "you, your that child of one of the other council members. what are you here for?" he stood in front of lena and the child to protect them.

Lena had to admit, when Ankoku first came in, she was very frightened by his appearance. It was just so... shocking to see him. Her feet even backed away and held their ground. It was Ankoku though, she knew it when he took the child. The scene next was one she found simply amazing. Not too often do you see the angel of death. Especially helping a soul he wanted to take just hours later. Lena went over to the child on the bed when Ankoku came back. Though she was a bit surprised how he acted around Leone, at the same time, she felt it was expected. Who he was and all. "Ankoku, He is the one who brought the boy..." She told him. Unsure if he knew or not.

"be that as it may, i cant treust anyone from the inside, i cant trust anyone that is from the city." he looked at leone and said "now tell me why you are here. i know that it wasnt to save the child. no one knows of the powers i have. no one knows that things that people believe have no fears, fear me. im the nightmare of all the nightmares, the worst of the worst." he paused and looked out at the night and spread his wings out. "the terror of death." the blade of the twilight changed forms into a scythe.



(incase i forgot to mention, both ranpu's and ankoku's blades tranform to fit the form or mood they are in. when ranpu turned into a vampyre his blade changed to dual short swords. when ankoku transformed into his true form his blade turned into a broad rune sword. in this part though when his mood reminds him of the fears he has caused and the lives he has taken, the blade transforms in to a scythe to match his nickname, the terror of death.)

"Mmn-hmmn," Leone nodded and took yet another step back. He half circled Ankoku curiously and looked at his wings and claws. "I didn't think you'd remember me, I'm Leone remember? We met once before....um.." Well, they hadn't really met but he had seen Ankoku glance at him before. "I'm curious why you left and what your doing to help these humans," Leone had built a perfectly good conversation while he had been driving here in case he met the leader or someone stronger than him; somehow it was now forgotten and it seemed to become harder for him to speak or reason with himself. "Could I stick around to observe? I'm not on anyone's side, much less my fathers...the blood practise the cities use is rather disgusting." He stopped moving around and gestured toward Ankoku. "Can you revert your appearance or is this something permanent?" Ankoku's form was intimidating. "It would help if you looked more human," Leone paused. His words were so ironic that he laughed a bit. "Well, should I reword that? Appear more like a...non-demon vampire."

ankoku nodded and turned back to his human form and his blade returned to its normal form. "you aske what i am doing to save the humans. he watched as the other rebels found their way to where he was in the room as they opened the door. he gestured them to remain calm. "i am not the only one, we the rebels fight what my father created and my brother carried on. we save humans from being used for breeding and those used for food." he looked at lena and said "their are some who are unable to leave though, the poison that they were given has had an effect that lasted to long to where even if they survived the trip from the city to here, they would die shortly after." he looked back at leone. "and you are right we have met once. that was when i had sneaked into the city to gather information to plan our next raid." he remembered that day. "i was going through town wearing a black cloak and i had a hood on to hide my face. i was gathering information here and there." he grew silent. "and eventually found a vampire woman that i fell in love with." he looked at kigan who stood at the doorway as kigan's face went from a neutral expression to one of sorrow.

alli stood near the doorway watching the conversation unfold. she had nothing to do with the vampires. if not for lena or the child, she would have left by now. she was on the side of all humans and lena and the child were human, so she would try to make sure they were okay before she left. she stood away from the door and walked over to lena and the child. "he is okay now, yes?" she looked at the little one and smiled as best as she could. he reminded her of her own little brother who was killed by their mother when they tried to escape.

Lena-May sat up on the bed. Next to the sleeping child. She was out of it slightly. Dazing off into space while Ankoku and Leone spoke with each other. Even when Alli came over, it took Lena a minute to catch up. She turned to her and looked down at the child. "Yes. He will be." She said with a smile. Rubbing her temples. "Are you okay?" Lena asked Alli.

alli sighed and looked at her. "when am i never okay, lena? i just tackled about a forth of the vampire out there and look." she waved to her body. "not even a scratch. honestly. those vampire royals better get some better training for those sorry excuses of vampire warriors." she looked at the boy again and touched his cheek. "he looks so much like my little brother. im glad that he will be okay."

Lena nodded. "You are very lucky to have never been brought there." She told her. Knowing full well she was probably opening all sorts of bad doors. Lena decided to continue, just in case.. "I mean, you can still fight. If I were out there I would have...well. I don't know." Lena said with a smile

alli shrugged and looked at lena. "well, you could train. i mean, your not as totally worthless, like you seem to think you are." she pointed to her arm and smiled proudly pulling up her sleeve to show a long gash. "i was cut by a vampire when i was ten for blood he didnt need. so i fought back with all i had, all lets just say...he wont be saying grace at the dinner table anymore..." she looked over lena and frowned. "i could train you if you want. at least teach you a few simple stuff."

Lena shook her head. "I don't want to kill.." She simply said. Something in her head would always just click whenever she saw the face of someone dying. "Besides, I physically can't fight. Too many drugs and testing." Lena told Alli, looking down at her arm and seeing the scar. It looked pretty bad, and it was probably a very nasty wound when she was young. Alli truly was a very strong girl, and Lena felt a sort of guilt telling her a no to her help. "I'm sorry. I disappoint you a lot."
