alright

first > mechanical heart with a trumpet attached, back of my left shoulder - for my papa, he loved music and at the time I loved steampunk.

second > the word heartbeat, on the collarbone above the heart - written by someone special to me, it's a reminder every time I see that, I have this heartbeat for a reason. I may not know what that reason is, but I have it and I need to cherish it.

third > a Salvador Dali L'elephant giraffe, left arm between inner elbow and wrist - firstly, for my love of painting and art, Dali will always be my favourite artist and the reason I started painting. this one is also for my mom, she's left handed (hence the left arm) and her favourite animal is an elephant.

for the fourth and fifth, I chose constellations because I've loved the stars and night sky for as long as I can remember. I've heard a lot of people say that when they are under the night sky and the stars are vast they feel so small and insignificant. but it's the opposite for me, when I'm under the stars, it feels like home, it feels like I'm significant.

fourth > apus constellation, back of left arm above the elbow - this constellation is best seen in July just before my birthday. it's pegged the bird of paradise but it's literal Greek translation is 'no feet' which is an inside joke of mine because I hate feet.

five > cancer constellation, back of right arm above the elbow - this constellation despite not best since in July is named for the myth of Hercules and the Twelve Labours. it is also connected to the Cancer Zodiac (which is my birth month zodiac).

@ Clock: I like the constellations. Good thing you decided to connect them. I've seen pics of unconnected ones and it's icky. It's nice that you've found so many meaningful things to tattoo. But alas, no cats.

Which part, the fear of needles or the picking something dumb? xD It's just that I know myself. I flit from one thing to another. And while I don't regret past things I've liked/appreciated, it's just a matter of a don't like them that much anymore.

Both parts, haha. But in that case, you could totally get a tattoo to represent how you're ever-changing, unless you grow to hate that too.

I always feel like getting some song lyrics tattoo'd, but I change my mind within the hour and then I'm glad I am not impulsive when it comes to tattoos. Plus, song lyrics are sooo trite these days.

I don't think I would grow to hate it. Just get tired of it.

I'd never be able to do lyrics. I am the epitome of a pop culture listener. My phases with music are ridiculously fast.
